Day 10: Belgium vs Tunisia, South Korea vs Mexico and Germany vs Sweden

What? You do remember how utterly clueless he was at Middlesbrough, don't you?

7 years ago and wasn't qualified - officially. Plenty of managers have done worse. Mid-table for a few seasons, lack of investment contributed massively towards them going down.

Martinez' has had some good, some bad, but been comical at his worst. His first season at Wigan they conceded 80 goals and lost 9-1 and 8-0 in the same season, luckily you only needed 31 points to stay up that year. Conceded 75 the season he took them down and dragged Everton down to the bottom half despite spending £30m on one of Europe's most promising CF's.

It was between him and Brandt. But it should have been between Draxler and Sane, with Draxler staying home. No idea what he's doing in out starting 11.

Yeah I don't understand what Draxler is offering here. You might as well play Ozil, at least he might make something out of nothing.

Germany will continue to get overrun in midfielder, with a two of Kroos and Gundogan. Same thing happened against Mexico.

Low needs to go with a three man midfield.

Germany look really flat, similar to Spain in 2014.

Motivation could be an issue here, they lack voices in the team like Bastian, Ballack and Lahm to get them going.

This team doesn’t look like a „Team“ anymore and I am absolutely blaming this on all this bullshit.
To me this looks like a perfect Van Gaal team. Thousands of passes and only bad shots. (The Van Gaal we saw at United, not the younger Van Gaal). I don't blame the team for effort, I blame Löw 100%. Neuer's gone for the better part of a year, yet he walks back into the team, because of stuff he did 4 years ago. The same was true for a lot of the team we saw against Mexico, and is still true for Müller. Rudy isn't good enough for Bayern but is supposed to be Germany's solution.

Özil's time in the team is over anyway, he hasn't been good enough for years, Gündogan has a future though. I sincerely hope the scapegoating of him will limit itself to the people in Beergardens.

He started well with Everton though, 6th in his first season and he made Swansea play very attractive attacking football. Defense was always his weakness.

EDIT: I already mentioned this before. Oops

My God, Henrik, I love you mate, but get out of the afternoon sun.

As someone who’s lived in Copenhagen, I can attest to the insane amount of fit women to be found in the city.

I’ve only seen it matched in Tallin and Punta del Este(granted it’s a mix of Brazilian, Uruguayan and Argentinian there).

Copenhagen - really? I’m really surprised by that. I didn’t think it would have been a capital for female hotness.

The youngVan Gaal from the 2014 world cup? :wenger:

Keane not impressed with Boetang:D

If Germany goes home, even if France doesn't win the WC, I will be a happy man. I still haven't and will never forget them for what they did to Batiston

In recent major tournaments, Germany tend to struggle to come up with a good plan B and struggled to score (2 goals in their last 6 losses).

If plan A is working, they cruise. Otherwise, they are just not good problem solvers within games.

Let’s see if they can come up with something in the 2nd half.

Germany have no other gears to move into. They are too slow, too predictable and getting well beaten so far. The team has no pace in attack. Boating and Rudiger are getting a lot of stick but the midfield and attack is no better. Collectively the whole team is a mess. Kroos, Draxler, Muller all passengers.

Some seriously questionable players startin for Germany today. Rudy’s off, Rudiger’s shite, Boeteng’s lost it. Kimmich is a good player but not been good enough. The only way I can see Germany winning this is if they keep it in Sweden’s half and just go for it.

Need a gif of the goal for us poor sods with no cable tv.
