Up until the Sweden goal, the game had been poor. Awful quality, niggly challenges and just very dull to watch. That performance spawns negative comments about the quality of the match, which were warranted.
That's why there was an air of negativity in the thread. Did it deserve people being called miserable c**ts? I don't think so.

And this game has had a fair amount of chances. I was far more bored watching Spain - Russia, for example.

What I'm getting at is I don't agree folk should be labelled miserable cnuts when they're being negative about an awful game - it's totally expected it'll attract negative comments.
Miserable cnuts are the ones who were complaining during Spain v Portugal, or the 2nd half of Japan v Belgium.
Spain v Russia will be shown in future for torture methods, so we agree there.

Swedes don't have the "star" names. Vardy, Kante and Mahrez were nobody's before they won the league. They were never really an exciting team. Just very good functional team who ran their socks off without caring much about the style of football.
This game should have started and ended with a penalty shootout.

It is stupid. We have technology where we can see that the wrong decision was made and we have a bunch of officials sitting staring at a TV screen seeing the wrong decision. All they have to do is say in his ear "change that to a goal kick". Literally no time is wasted either because it isn't an opinion call where the referee has to go and watch it for himself.
That was never a penalty.
