Happy for Ikealand as they show real fighting spirit but they barely play anything that can be called 'football' in the conventional sense.
Defence is 50% of football. This "defending isn't football" nonsense needs to die.

Albania went out eh, good, karma for that penalty and atrocious ref, now they can flap their eagle on their way home, ta.

Knew it. James' tweet the other day made it clear he wouldn't be fit for this game.

Person in second in superbru picked the exact same score as me. I care a lot less about this now. That's been guiding who I want to win, I don't really mind now

Interesting that Alli was selected back into the XI because he's not an orthodox central midfielder or comes close to being a two-way player compared to Lingard in this England side, who is his counterpart in this setup. Alli was not as functional in the first match compared to his teammates, he was the odd man out in terms of his role or desired impact.

This is surely England's to win without James, however Columbia is a well organized and collective unit under Pekerman, who is a better manager than Southgate.

England will either win this comfortably or get overrun in midfield. Closer it gets to kick off, the more I’m swaying towards the latter.

Not even a sub. A chance in million years for England this. They won't find an easier path which all lead the prediction of them bottling it. :D

It’s refreshing to watch the pre-match analysis on RTÉ and get some much-needed perspective on this England team, and indeed, Colombia. England are not playing a band of Panamanians nor Tunisians tonight, which many English-based commentators are giving the impression of.

Alli often looks the odd man out in an England shirt to be honest, it's about time he put in a good performance.

Why didn’t Colombia announce Rodriguez as a substitute tonight just to feck with the English psyche? The fact he’d be loitering there, with the English not knowing when he’d enter the fray, would surely beneficial to them, even though the Colombians would know he’s out. They didn’t have to announce him as absent as the World Cup substitute benches have 12 players named. Strange one.

No James. Stars are aligned for England.

James teammates to put in a shift tonight and bring victory for him ? :D

RLC alongside Henderson might have been a better option.Alli needs a big game tonight.

Huge for England. Colombia were by far at their best when they had James even half fit against Poland, with him being the main man that day. Without him theyll struggle today imo. Wont be easy still, they have their threats on the break but England should win. Should.

It’s going to be great when Stones, Walker and Maguire do their usual ‘I’m going to pass this ball as casual as feck across my box’ trick tonight and Colombia cause havoc on the back of it.
