Throwing rubbish balls towards a Falcao surrounded by 5 men hoping for a mistake, not the most ambitious game plan from Colombia.

Didn't look like Barrios deliberately hit Henderson in the head, seemed to go for the chest. That's probably why it wss a yellow. Red for contact to the head has to be deliberate.

He's defensively sound but tactically England suffer in attacking build up with Young. I'd sub him off and generate pace with balance.

To be honest we've allowed ourselves to get drawn into this type of game, Colombia obviously feel this is their best chance so we should really turn the other cheek and go back to the plan in the second half instead of raising to the bait.

Fist time England have come against a 4-4-2. Struggling to find spaces.

Now I know how opposition fans feel when following a game in the match day thread.

Nice strawman. When have you ever heard an England commentator praise bear hugging or headbutting players?

They admire strong, fair challenges. Not blatant disregard for the rules.

You don't see Alli at club level much do you? It's not a red card and that wasn't violent conduct, it was petulant. The hugging and grappling are from both sides in the box, always has and always been. Then Stones pushes the Colombian in front of the ref, foul for Colombia. That was stupid as well.

Sterling's been frustrating. Colombia have been quite violent.

Dele has been pretty bad yet again. I don't know what the issue is, but he's very clearly not playing up to his talent. At some point he'll have to be replaced by someone who is going to contribute positively to the play.

England not really using the pitch effectively. Everything is completely narrow. Young has barely touched the ball in the last third.

England look solid. Columbia look impotent and dull save the thuggish moments. Has heartbreak written all over it if England don't find a bit more creativity up front. Sterling is yet again fully contained in the final third. It does make for comical moments I guess.

That was a clear red but Henderson didn’t cover himself in glory too, going down like an idiot. Tops to Lingard for defending Henderson though. Really don’t like these colombian drama queens. Anyway, COME ON ENGLAND!

P.S. @Rajma mate why is a double headbutt, no matter how soft it was, not a red card in your opinion? I don’t understand.

Bloody Ospina's been wasting time since the fourth minute.

No real idea from England and Colombia using everythong possible to brake their flow. Alli invisible, Sterling not much better.

Congratulations to the Swedish guys in here!! Fantastic from your guys. Work ethic and tactically brilliant. Hopefully one day a Norwegian team will do the same.
Thanks. The more competetive Scandinavian countries, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

The headbutt was a clear red. Does no one remember Zidane? Can't see that and not give a red. Bizarre.

Sterling should come off. His touch is terrible. He is being roughed up but he doesn't look at it to me.

I'd get Rose on around the 60th and probs Rashford too. Need more width down that left hand side.

Foul and a red card but Henderson was pathetic. He went full Neymar and you never go full Neymar.

True but no one would blame him given the effect of VAR on players tbh.

I think it's a yellow personally. Yeah contact with the chin but no way near anything as mental as it sounds.

Also the coach is a bit stupid for doing that to sterling but again it's just a bit meh.
