Clearly not!You need to be good for people to be bitter and salty about you.

Vardy hardly plays, Pickford is a bit mouthy (not a bad quality in a keeper), Trippier no idea, Sterling much maligned by the press but seems ok, Alli - fair enough, at least on the pitch.
Hardly a cast of rogues. And again, rather like the media is arrogant line, isn’t it just the case that you know the England players (warts and all) a lot better than those from most of the other countries?
Alli is definitely a twat and can totally understand the dislike for Sterling and to some degree Vardy, but Pickford and Trippier, why?
Not sure what Trippier or Pickford have done to be considered a twat, especially after the tournaments they've had.
I guess contrasted with those you have Rashford, Lingard, Kane, Maguire, Walker, Young, Alexander-Arnold, and others who all seem level-headed, grounded, decent guys. Also the obvious unity and respect amongst the group is largely where the "likeable" - certainly goes above and beyond the "golden generation".
What's your definition of "twat" word ? Because only Alli can be considered one from your list for me.
What have Pickford or Trippier done to warrant the 'twat' tag?
Agree with your view on the rest.
He's a keeper. They are all like that. The way Pickford mouths off when anyone challenges him, it’s like he’s trying to instigate a square go every time. Just has one of those faces.
Trippier likes to whine aswell, and is one of the spurs players who likes to leave the boot in when they are getting beat. He’s definitely the most likeable of that group of 5 though.
Some of you are so salty and bitter about England and the English. Its bizarre and not healthy for you to carry that negativity around with you.
He's a keeper. They are all like that.
See I just don’t get this “likeable group of players” narrative that’s popped out of nowhere this tournament.
Jordan Pickford- twat
Delle Alli- twat
Kieran Trippier- twat
Raheem Sterling- twat
Jamie Vardy- twat
That’s 4 regular starters there and there’s a few more questionable personalities in the squad. They’ll be back to hating each other soon enough.
The best thing for England this tournament is their manager, now that’s someone you can call likeable and no one can argue.
Nah, pretty much all of them like to trash talk. Even our own De Gea who is a nice guy, behaved like a twat during the penalties Spain lost. Not all of them to that extent. Comes across as a twat.
He's English, mate.

Anyone who plays against United is a twat by definition. Plus being in the same city as Liverpool FC (although being rivals) makes every Everton player twat by association.I’ll be watching out for any comments you make about him during Everton games![]()
He seems like a quiet and unassuming lad. Just looks like a bit of a chav.

Can't really understand the shock that some people have to know that foreign United supporters don't support England National Team. Why is that a shock? Were you going to support France vs England because of Pogba, Or Belgium because of Lukaku? Did you guys supported Portugal because of Ronaldo? I still remember the wink drama.
It just looks that you are mirrowing your national team dissapointment to foreign fans.
There were lots of reasons for rooting against england.
1: Typical English Fans behavior when outside of their country
2: Most of the biased commentary on Itv and BBC
3: The ikea trashing
4: The Ambulances trashing
5: The feeling that a team that doesnt win nothing were acting like a top class winners of all time
6: All the laughs at created in this forum for other national teams
See, lots of reasons. We can never mix Club football with National team football. I will always root for Manchester United has my second club but i will never root for the England national team
Certainly has for me.
I had a good debate with @Pogue Mahone and so I fully understand why some wanted England to lose and that's more than fair enough, but the aggressiveness and glee some seemed to get out of insulting and trying to wind up fellow Utd fans was disappointing.
You didn't see the way Pickford was trash talking to Mandzukic whilst he was lying on the floor? he took him out the game![]()
6.. Again, it is an English based forum? What do you expect? Are you against the threads ridiculing City, Arsenal, Liverpool etc?
It is a fan based Irish forum about Manchester United. Expecting people here (who aren't from England) to support England cause of that is ludicrous.
Yep, and England is an another national team. A national team which has more fans here than any other, but still, this isn't England's National Team forum, so no need to be upset that people are joking at football coming ... I mean England going home.Fair enough, however that wasn't my point. I even said AFTER that point I didn't expect him to support England.
I was answering the other posters point 6, which was - 6: All the laughs at created in this forum for other national teams

I do recall the Mandzukic chance toward the end of the second half, but the aftermath of the incident is nothing more than a blur as I was busy dealing with a minor heart-attack at that point. I'll take your word for it, though.
Haha. What utter bollox, are you Irish by chance ? cnut
Ah, in that case I have misunderstood your point. Sorry!Where in any of my posts am I suggesting he can't take the mick though? His point was that this forum, which as you have stated is very multi-cultural, has post taking the mick out of other nations. My point was why is that a stick to beat England fans with? Clearly every other nation enjoys revealing in others losses..
We all love it really don't we?
Scotland/Wales/NI/ROI hate the English football team; and deep down we enjoy the fact that everyone hates us.
Ah, in that case I have misunderstood your point. Sorry!
Our colonial history doesn't help I guess but other countries have similarly poor records in that respect and face no where near the same hatred. We are seen as arrogant despite I think being one of the if not the most self deprecating country on earth. Yes we got a bit carried away with the whole it's coming home thing but I don't think anyone really thought we would win the thing. I certainly didn't anyway.Just out of curiosity, as an englishman, why do you think that is?
Jeez. . . . England attempting to score as Croatia celebrated.
Cringeworthy.
I've seen it all now.

With the Spurs core, is anyone really surprised England lost a lead and went out of the cup? Until England get the right winning mentality, they'll always be chokers. Need a City/Utd style mentality.
Also RLC should have come in for Alli.
Unpopular opinion but does anyone think Wilshere could have done a job off the bench?
