Premier League Gameweek 2 fixtures (18th - 20th August 2018)

On the Palace game, it's going to be a tough one. Palace are always tough for big teams at home. Liverpool won't run away with this one.

"You can quote me on that"
Please don't though, because, I could totally be wrong....

You just can't help yourself can you?

Anti-jinx: 6-0 to Palace, Benteke with all of them.
You'll be fine.

They've just shown the highlights of Crystanbul. Good times.

Nev and Carra at it
Nev absolutely right. He has to implement his system and see who is cut out for it. Those that aren't will get shipped out.

No point trying it for 2 games then packing it in and trying again next year. You wont know who is worth keeping

They're great! I want them to do a type of idiot abroad programme, would be hilarious, but also quite informative too I'd reckon

Tbf since Andy Gray got the boot. Sky have done a number with them 2.

They're 2 popular figures for 2 of the largest teams in the country who pretty much hated each other but have mellowed out and take the mick out of each other for great entertainment purposes.

Nev takes a pop at the Powerpoint slide and Carra goes you could have used it at Valencia :lol:

Urban myth that we lost the league at Selhurst Park. Even if we'd won City only had to win two home games against Villa and West Ham to wrap it up.

We lost the league at Anfield.

Agreed.

It's that "people need to adapt to the Premier League" nonsense that annoys me the most. No, that's not footballing evolution. Footballing and coaching evolution is finding new and better ways to perform better than the archetype methods, tactics and training.

Huge test this.
Sakho and Tomkins record together is excellent.
Sakho is very underrated

If you had won at Palace then City would have felt under a bit more pressure for their final games. Chelsea game was the devastating one for you with the difference in GD but the game against Palace topped it off and that was when Rodgers conceded the title and Suarez cried so suggests they felt that was where it was lost.

5-0 to Liverpool. They look to be in top shape now. They might run out of steam later, but they'll be stuffing teams for a while at the beginning of the season.

Is Selhurst Park the best place to play football in England? Sounds like a proper atmosphere.

Palace have started showing more courage and a willingness to play football. If we were playing Liverpool at home you can guarantee we'd probably be pinned back inside our own box already.

easy win for Liverpool. The selhurst park voodoo is overrated. They have won their previous 4 outings there. 4-0 again.

Have 3-1 Liverpool with Salah and Mane scoring. Can't see beyond them but I'd be happy to be wrong.

Why are Liverpool never punished for cynically stopping counters? It's incredible how often they get away with it.

Their whole game is based around that and they are vulnerable to the counter. Sadly they always get away with stopping them.

That Gomez one was a yellow imo, stupid foul.

Before the counter starts, or during the counter?
