I haven't seen Newcastle this year. They are bad, right?

Dreadful. But they always raise their game massively against us. If they would manage to put in performances through the campaign like they do against us they'd probably be in the Europa slots.

They haven't won a game this season. Haven't lost badly either. 2-1 scoreline against all of City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal.

It's Benitez, so expect a pathetically parked bus which has no intention of crossing the half line. 10 man behind the ball and a lone striker.

JJS to put in the best performance of his career to date this evening.

I called it first (I think).

Thanks guys, I can see a win then. Hopefully a good one too.

Maybe others have remarked on it already but the situation with Fred is odd. We've spent £50m plus bringing him here and yet we can't seem to find a role for him in the first team.
This why I'm completely with the board.

Not only Fred but there's countless others, too.

Breaks the world record for Pogba, doesn't have a clue how to use him. 3 years in, still no clue.

Buys Mkhitaryan. Gives up on him after one season (also froze him out of the team for his first half season). Swaps him for Alexis who he's already given up on.

Buys Lukaku. Uses him as a target man despite not being one.

Buys Lindelof and Bailly. Gives up on both and expects the board to give him another 70+ million for another.

Surely Zidane will never let McTominay see another PL minute?

Difficult to know. I think it's unlikely that Zidane will be able to get much from Young, Smalling, Lingard, Jones, Rojo, Lindelof, Fellaini, Valencia, Darmian etc etc, so who would or wouldn't be in his team is hard to guess at this point. I don't think it'll be him, anyway.

And yet people think he should have more money to spend
Tired of arguing with people. Fred was supposed to come and improve our play, making us move the ball faster and giving us energy off the ball. Would just sum it up if we hear complaints that we didn't move the ball fast enough, post match.

    Why is Fred not starting?

Anyway, I'm watching, I hope we put on a show and Martial shows hands.

Why does everyone hate mctominay? He's decent
I don't hate him. I think he actually comes across as a nice kid in the interviews I've seen him do for the 1st team and elsewhere. I just think he's a rubbish footballer.

Why does everyone hate mctominay? He's decent
I don't hate him but last week he was picked to play at CB over Bailly and this week he's been picked in midfield ahead of a 50M signing we just made this summer. It is at the point where he's being used as some sort of political pawn by Jose.

We're relying on Pogba to create any chances, absolute joke from Mourinho. If ever there was a game to play Pogba, Fred and Pereira then this was that game.I will be very surprised if we score more than one, and where the feck is Dalot, this match is crying out for two flying fullbacks.

Why does everyone hate mctominay? He's decent
Decent at what? Don't think anyone is hating on him he is just nowhere near good enough to be in the first team, let alone start matches when we have better players on the bench.

Hope Lukaku has been practicing on bags of cement this week.

WTF is McTomminay doing anywhere near the first team, let alone starting a must win game, with Andreas and Fred sat on the bench?

Jose ought to be sacked for that alone

7 points behind top four. Must win game this. Hope we pull through.

Well he played him last year a fair bit too. Not sure on the polictics on his selection. Now dropping Pogba might be though but he continues to be picked.
