    Doooomed, I tell ye.

Actually, I think United will win today - it'll take some pressure off Jose.

Be funny if we play well and win.

Everyone moaning about this or that player. It’s about the team and JM obviously knows a lot more than the posters here

Jose knows feck all judging by how poor we've been of late. Why defend him?

Edit: Sorry to be so direct. Hopefully we win but Jose does have a lot to prove with regard to his team selections given our recent performances.

People wonder why Mourinho didn't get more money and yet everyone he's bought has either been a shadow of their former selves or doesn't get a game.

8-0. Blistering football the likes of which has never been seen before.

    Heard it here first.

We should all watch the game and see what happens. Will be very interesting. Let's not talk about the starting 11 anymore. Jose will live or die by his decisions.

Was it Ivanovic? I remember him being well past it and Jose kept picking him.
Looking at that lineup makes me feel much less sorry for Mourinho, I wouldn't be surprised if others feel the same.
Yes I think it was Ivanovic. I remember reading some of their posts on this. He was really really bad but just kept starting.

So Jose is in a strop over not being backed, yet refuses to play the 70m of players he actually signed over the summer.

Maybe it's just reserves of complacency built up in years gone by, but I feel we'll win this one. Not expecting it to be pretty, mind.

Which would indicate he is not yet ready for a starting birth.

Pereria is one of the most technically efficient players in the squad, but his positional play is beyond terrible. He still has much to learn.

    He will come good.
Which is why it's fair enough that Pereira isn't played in the deepest role, which is where Mourinho mostly sees him. However he should be fine in the other two midfield roles (although obviously Pogba has one of those locked down). Or to be tried out on the right as well.

Well we're currently sat in 11th place. We need these 3 points irrespective of Mourinho. I still think we should be able to win, but then we should win against West Ham as well. I dunno. Let's see what happens.

    Fair criticism this.

Is it a protest? There has to be something up with not choosing Fred.

Yeah it was - Jose loves running players into the ground. You only have to look at how's he's managed Matic.
Yes I think it was Ivanovic. I remember reading some of their posts on this. He was really really bad but just kept starting.
its a pretty like for like comparison with Matic, he looks like he's aged ten years since last season, yet he's played almost constantly.
Jose likes his favourites, and it will probably cost him his job again, or at least be a major reason.

But what could Fred have done to him? He's only been here 2 minutes. I doubt he would have done something to make Mourinho upset.

Or is it when the going gets tough, he doesn't trust the flair players to be risk averse?

Dalot is tall, so yeah, that actually doesn't make sense. He's young though...
Dalot should 100% be starting today ahead of Young, seeing as Valencia is Mourinho’s latest fall out.

Plus bear in mind Matic has had an operation recently. I really don't think he's 100% and shouldn't be playing 90 minutes for every game.

I think we will win, only that our opponents are more defensive than us, with an even more prehistoric dinosaur managing them than we do.

Love seeing two academy guys put in and trusted. Plus another on the bench.

Its hardly a bad line up. Just hoping the team gets the win and can use this as a platform for the season.

God, Jose looks so depressed and uninterested. More than usual. Not a healthy atmosphere around the club if the manager's heart is not in it.

Get the 3 points somehow though. We can't afford to drift further away.

Think United will win by quite a few goals tonight. 3 or 4-0

Why is he playing Matic and Scot together in a match we need to win at home?

So Jose is in a strop over not being backed, yet refuses to play the 70m of players he actually signed over the summer.

In fairness he has been playing Lindelof a lot lately and there's not much between him and Bailly, who also cost £30m.

    Fred yeah, fair enough.

we will win today but why wait for the inevitable, just go today and we can true and rescue a shit season

So Fred or Pereira won't give you energy? Whatever.. just get the 3 points please

Last year we had significantly worse options for our midfield. Dropping Pogba was a strange decision, but nonetheless, the depth of the squad was very shallow (Fellaini, Matic, Herrera, Lingard and McTominay for 3 places when Pogba was out). Now we have 2 better players rotting on the bench and the likes of Herrera not even in the squad. Just because Scott is... tall?
Who knows for sure - perhaps. Personally, he should give more opportunity to Fred. He’s been a bit inconsistent but deserves more of a run. I was more referring to his selection being political. May be Mou feels he offers a bit energy and fight - don’t know
