I’m gonna come out and say it. I’m not English, but I really like this England team. I like a lot of the players, and I like the manager. I’m neutral to most international teams, but this iteration of the England team will always have a bit of support from me.
Better then giving everyone a shit team to hammer on top of the other games and then one team being fecked because of a bit of complacency kicking in and a fluke killing them tbh. 3 teams that are very close between each other, home and away between all of them is pretty fair. Can't have any complaints wherever they finish.
England are on the same level as Croatia, Italy or Portugal, not on the same level as Germany or Spain in theory. These last two teams will probably look much better by the time the Euros come around.
I don't know what it is with some United supporters who continually to slag off Marcus Rashford but he was easily England's most effective forward. His movement gave Croatia loads of problems.

Well done to Gareth Southgate to be the first English manager to turn us from a horror story to a proper national team. Instead of moaning about lack of players he has used our young talent to excellent effect.

This nations league is brilliant. It’s more enjoyable watching England than it is United.
Genuinely impressed we came back and won that. I look forward to the proper biggest semi final in football next summer.
Delph or Rashford were probably our best players but both went off relatively early so I can understand why they didn't get MOTM. Gomez did well, but Kane got one goal and one 'assist'. I can't begrudge him the award.

Good win and credit to Kane, he usually is the one who stands out in bigger games and if he doesn't do something no one else does. Very dangerous to sub him if he's not playing well generally.

I'm all for scrapping Euros and replacing it with nations league. One out of 3 team qualifying really ups the stakes in games and would be amazing in a even more important competitions.

Lingard should have been in for Barkley, nobody helps link midfield and attack like he does in the England squad.

Yeah 2nd place teams just avoid relegation basically.
I think the nation's league has worked well so far. The closeness of the teams in quality has meant the games have an added edge compared to friendlies. You'd never see a last 20 minutes like we've just gotten in a friendly.
Definitely the best of our defenders, and the least culpable for that awful awful goal we conceded.
