Varchester City 18/19 discussion

I'm still here, I posted in this thread and the matchday thread at least 10 times yesterday. I can be called out on being wrong (which I often am) but not for disappearing which is why I didn't respond to Ser's original dig as it clearly wasn't at me. :)

I know you're regular. The charge I was leveling at you was that you were/are a good poster. :)

Pep will buy 2 new CBs and another striker. They'll bounce back, the quality is just too much

I can argue against that too, I was more referring to the post you quoted where is was decided some of use had disappeared because of our bad form. You must be starting to get quietly excited buddy, we look miles off you currently.

Still clearly in the race for now. Won over 70% of their matches despite this recent blip. All about the response now.

You'd figure they must beat Liverpool though.

Saw this on r/reddevils and it raised a smile. Spoilered for size.

I swear there’s less city posters here in recent weeks. It’s odd, was rarely a thread without them the last few months - just here for the quality of the forum of course.

We've got 44 points after 19 games. During the PL era from 1992-93 until the ADUG era began in in 2008-09 our average total per season was 46 points (excluding the 5 non-PL seasons). We're doing just fine.

Any City fan going missing at this point is probably a post-ADUGer :-)

problem when you're city and widely viewed clear favourities to win the title and cl.... all of the smaller teams park the bus only only go for goals in short sporadic spells. mourinho setup vs united at anfield

liverpool, for example, on the other hand they go at them

It's the complete opposite to that I think? Teams seem to have admitted defeat before a ball is kicked against Liverpool, but they're starting to have a go at City now and reaping the rewards.

They really don't look interesting at all. Liverpool have Arsenal coming up which is far more likely a game where you drop points. I will not be watching any of City's games, but will watch the other one because it has much more chance of an even game.
Did you watch the evenly balanced game at Anfield ??

I dont think they have the bottle.

Domination, one of the best PL teams ever?

My arse.

They simply have to win tomorrow!
I reckon they will beat Pool at the Etihad. Hopefully they'll only be 4 points behind by the end of next week.

It's a big big game for City Tommo. If they can win convincingly, 3 or 4 nil, then imagine how the Scousers will feel. Suddenly them having a 10 point lead and one hand on the title , it will be a massive psychological hit.
Even though you will hear the Scousers say "if someone told us we would have a 7 point gap in Jan , we would have given our right arm....." But in football it doesn't work that way. This will definitely put all the pressure back on Liverpool , and that city game will be their biggest since they fecked it against Madrid.
I still believe the Scousers are in the driving seat, but as most of them have started dreaming about open top bus parades in May, this will be the sucker punch that may just swing it back in Peps favour !

Don't think we'll lose tomorrow, in fact I think we'll win quite comfortably but I just don't see us beating Liverpool given our current leaky defence.

Southampton loosing last time out is good for you, new manager bounce over for them already maybe?

Southampton will see a chance and go for it. City really need to get back on track immediately or this season will be a one horse race like the last. Oh and they absolutely have to beat Pool at home. So, no pressure

Hope so but tbh, its more about us than Southampton, if we can't put them away with £800m worth of talent despite our poor form then we are in a meltdown.

The game against Southampton is huge now. Man City cannot afford to loss point and widen the gap. The pressure on the player will affect their play. On the other hand, Southampton will just go out and play their normal game and have a go at them.

It will be an interesting game.

City playing trinagles under pressure in their own box. If they're mentally scarred from those two losses than they're damn good at hiding it.

Pep Guardiola is my idol spends the GDP of a country in the transfer market and says he cannot compete with Liverpool. Even Jose wouldn't do that if he was given the money City spent.
Was Mourinho not talking about Leicester spending first game of the season despite the amount he has spent?

Of course, he was moaning about it all the time. But I think in a set-up like City with endless cash, even he would shut up a bit.

Just for the record, I wasn't supporting Mourinho there.

Those comments have nothing to do with money. More he's saying "Liverpool are doing pretty fecking good right now and we can't keep up". Which we couldn't.

I don't want Liverpool winning the league. Any title these cnuts get is just down to dirty money. Liverpool winning would be legitimately earned.
A UTD fan with his head screwed on, I will never understand why any UTD fan would want City to win the league, under any circumstances, i understand Liverpool are your biggest rivals but to want your local derby rivals to win it is madness, if it was Spurs or anyone else then fine but City ??, never in a million years would i want Everton to win anything just to stop UTD or City winning, i don't care how irrelevant they are to us, UTD and Liverpool are very similar in lot's of ways, one being they want there club to win trophies the right way, using money they have earned and believing it's the right way to do it, yet a lot of UTD fans are more than happy for this bunch of corrupt cheats to win it.

Look, it is simply a case of City being the lesser of two evils.

If United and Everton were battling it out for the title, 99.7% of the Liverpool fanbase would opt for Everton to win it.

No chance, i remember UTD playing Everton in the FA cup final and i never came across 1 single Liverpool fan who wanted Everton to win, we just didn't watch it.

If City finish runner-up this season, they’ll probably do so with a record points tally that would ordinarily win the league at a canter.

Obviously Pep’s talking absolute nonsense but let’s not lose sight of reality.

They have said they're not spending in January.
Are they on the margins with FFP? They have become tight cnuts all of a sudden?

Pep is absolutely shitting himself over Klopp. His comments in the DVD about being scared of Liverpool was music to Klopps ears. Then pre match against Southampton he's saying they can't compete with Liverpool's form and last night he's saying Liverpool are the best team in the world.
And we Utd fans are hoping this bottler will stop Liverpool wining the league. More chance Utd winning the European Cup.
It's over my friends. Pep is ready for his sabotical. He s not fit enough to tie Fergie laces.

Wow. Pep and his squad ran circle around Fergie in multiple CL finals. He’s one of the greatest managers of all time. As is Fergie.

But you’re post is way off.
