It was a binary choice initially, Leave or Remain and nothing has really changed, except we have had two years or more of smoke and mirrors from the whole UK Parliament (all sides) who found itself blindsided by the outcome of the referendum and no idea what to do!

The EU will almost anything to stop the UK leaving.

Really??? Our agreement negotiations have been pathetic and there are splits all over the place and you are blaming the EU for stopping us leaving? We can leave whenever we want, its whether its with a deal or not. They have been consistent with their negotiations and their stance.
And lets not forget, there is a Police investigation with regard to overspending and false spending returns for Vote Leave in terms of the first referendum. The risks of brexit have just not gotten through to the electorate, the majority of people seem to be worried about immigration and that by leaving the EU, that will somehow magically solve that issue, it won't.

Can you even name one thing they've done to frustrate brexit so far? Or a feasible action they could have taken to help that they haven't?
The problem seems to be everyone is forgetting about it (conveniently in some groups) and yet its one of the biggest breaks of electoral law.
They could give us all the benefits of membership, without asking us to pay a penny for it, or follow any of the rules. Because we are Britain, goddamit, we used to rule the bloody world.

I think the issue some people have is that they seem to think the EU are some sort of emotion driven morons like a lot of our own politicians, and the electorate they hoodwinked.
It's unfathomable to these people that organisations like the EU work on a set of terms and conditions. If you want a slice of the pie you accept them, if you don't like the terms you go somewhere else. Somehow our politicians have managed to convince people that they could get the EU to change their own terms for our benefit.

May's wretched red lines are the reason why we are having so much trouble leaving, not the EU. The UK screwed this one up.

In hindsight it's easy to come to that conclusion, but at least in theory I don't think this was the inevitable outcome. We/you got here, because politicians from all sides are fundamentally dishonest and sold out their country for personal gain. The hardcore Brexiters with their "project fear", "it's going to be fine", "they need us more than we need them", "we've got the whole world to trade with" delusions designed to mislead the public. May/the goverment in negotiating a hopeless deal and wasting another month by postponing the vote (I'd really like to know at what point they knew her deal was stillborn and just kept going on with it regardless). Labour by pretending they can somehow just re-negotiate a better deal and from what it seems mainly being interested in forcing an election to put themselves in power.

That logic may look good on paper but it's politically untenable.
Very few voted in the expectation we'd crash out and that's explicitly not what was promised - so leaving like that doesn't respect the vote. And staying in doesn't respect the result. if Parliament can;t pick a solution then someone else has to decide.
The EU will negotiate for a sensible solution but the backstop is not going to change. No unicorns from Corbyn.

Adding the single market and customs union and free movement to the deal makes it just remaining without an exit clause or votes in how the union operates. No need for the backstop as the whole UK will be permanently in anyway. People who want Brexit will see straight through it and remainers will say why even bother?
Just another farce like the WA so politicians can say we "delivered Brexit" whilst lying through there teeth!
Hopefully that will be debated out in parliament and ultimately it will come down to no deal v withdrawing article 50.
Couldn’t agree more, and what’s worse than the stupidity of the general public is that when asked to clarify why, it’s allways trash like “Corbyn is unelectable” without stating why. I’m really starting to detest my country at this point.

That is why labour are not fit to be voted in and I couldn’t vote for them until they are gone. Also can you honestly see Abbot holding office? They are a bloody laughing stock.
