Champions League Round of 16 (12th Feb - 13th Mar)

Without a fit Coman, we have no hope in this tie

Even with Coman, it is over. With that defense, Bayern are begging for goals. If Liverpool are on it, i think Klopp will make sure they are on fire, this wont be nice

I'd love to watch all the upcoming fixtures this week, Lyon/Barcelona, Liverpool/Munich, Schalke/City, Atl/Juve. How much would it hurt viewership if some of those fixtures started earlier? Could it even help viewership because at the end of the day you can only watch 1 game at a time unless you are lucky enough to have one of those TV walls with multiple sets.

'i could see Bayern beating Liverpool, why ? because they are Bayern Munich, ez.

I wasn't aware of the fact that Fekir won't play. it's a blow, but I still think they have great chance today and I'm sure they'll score at least once. especially if they perform like they did in both games vs City, because Barca have been struggling lately. Arthur won't play today, their key players are not in good form and Suarez hasn't scored in CL away for almost 4 years. this season he has 0 goals in CL and still hasn't scored in february. both him and Messi looks tired as hell so I doubt we'll see much different performance than vs Valladolid. prediction: 2-2.

if VDV was available, I'd say easy win for Liverpool. I still think they'll win, but without him I believe they'll also concede one or two. I actually see something similar to game vs Roma last year, something like 3-1 or 4-2 for them. taking a narrow lead to Munich or draw would be a disaster imo.

I still expect a stuffing for us more than anything else. Would be nice to get something from Anfield, but nothing I have seen us play in the last weeks and months makes it seem likely.

I think we'll score a few but with Matip-Fabinho at the back, I think Bayern will score at least one away goal as well which could be crucial in this tie.

A proper thrashing and it'd be curtains for that fraud on our bench by end of the season, a draw or an unexpeceted win would at least see us advancing.
The only thing that shouldn't happen is some sort of narrow win for the scouse, allowing that Croatian joker to start his BS excuse mill again.

Barcelona's record in their last 5 CL KO stage away games
0 wins - 1 draw - 4 losses
1 goal scored - 13 goals conceded

Everyone is seriously underestimating Bayern München. They are still a world-class team and for me, one of the favourites to win the Champions League. Man for man, their key players are still a tier above Liverpool's. I think this will be a score draw and Bayern will win the second leg at home.

The problem is the coach and not the team.

Van Dijk is definitely suspended and I thought Lovren still has an hamstring injury, so can't see it any other way yeah.

Correct. VvD is suspended, Gomez injured and Lovren still nursing a bad hamstring, Fabinho will probably play central defense with Mario. Alisson will have to play with the DDG cheat mode turned on :)

What are the predicted line-ups for Liverpool - Bayern?
Not sure about Bayern but ours will probably be:

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Let us all pray we do for you what we did for Utd in December. ;)

Liverpool are playing their 4th choice CB and a midfielder with poor positioning sense at CB. Their RB (who is at best, average, defensively) hasn't played a proper game for more than a month. They are very weak in defense. There's going to be a lot of goals from both sides which can suit Bayern because of the away goal rule.

Alexander-Arnold isn't average defensively  and his last game was 10 days ago.

I said "proper" game. He came on late in that game to get match fitness. Read what I said properly.
Also, he was poor defensively earlier on this season and was dropped for Gomez at RB by Klopp for a while. Klopp actually moved Gomez from CB to RB instead of playing him. He can also be very suspect in certain games (like Roma away, Man City, Chelsea, Red Star) if the opposition targets that side efficiently.

AHHHH I'm so bloody excited. Football!

Thiago really is the one that scares me. I wonder if he'll move in the summer, seeing as how he'll only have 2 years left on his contract.

(And Lewa, of course).

Neuer
Kimmich Süle Hummels Alaba
Thiago Goretzka
Gnabry James Coman
Lewandowski
Goretzka and Coman are doubtful to start. Goretzka didn't participate in the final training session but trained alone due to a problem with his ankle.

Martinez will start instead of Goretzka and maybe Ribery for Coman

Wow, I just read that this is only the second encounter of Bayern-Liverpool, ever. (In the CL and its predecessor)

Absolutely bricking it. No idea what these Bayern fans are on about, it's not like we are on our top game these last few weeks. Add that we are short at the back and usually start slower after a longer break and it looks like a 50 - 50 game to me.
