Unbelievable when you consider what we had to listen to under Jose.fecking he’ll, Ole is just so refreshing to listen to.
Can you imagine anyone who watched the last few years under Fergie giving Phelan any credit for our defensive shape? I love him and he's clearly got a lot about him as a coach, but if he was taking defensive sessions in training back in 2012-2013 it was just him running round with party poppers and a paper hat shouting "Attack! Attack! Attack!".For those saying Phelan is the one behind our defensive displays..
you can blame LVG for thatI actually forgot Smalling's first name is Chris, my brain keeps saying Mike..
He speaks brilliantly and is clearly a very bright guy but I wish he was less open with the media. There's no need to discuss his plans for certain players and his tactical ideas (even at a very basic level). Sorry if that offends the cult but he seems to be trying to help the media at the moment and they don't deserve it.
Noticed this too, and it coincides with the media etc talking a lot less about our players' social media accounts, haircuts and other such activities.Great to see the full presser.
Regardless of how this season pans out Ole has got to get the job.
He's United through and through.
He's passionate about the club and has instilled that in the players.
Those who haven't come through the academy and didn't know the history of the club will know about it now and what is expected of them.
Interesting to note what he said about what players get up to when they are not playing and how important it is to concentrate on your football and what is expected of you on and off the pitch.
I'm sure if anyone doesn't get this ( and Ole is manager next season ) they'll be out and we'll have a team of United players who understand what it means to wear the shirt.
I seriously don't think I could love the guy anymore and that's from a guy who almost shed a tear at his testimonial match.
15:45. Why the journos won't turn on him anytime soon.
What's the point in the embargoed part of the conference? Is it for journo exclusives?

It seems he has stamped his authority without using the dictatorship approach of previous managers. And the players are responding.
He's learnt from the best, Fergie was a master at manipulating the press.I suspect that it is a conscious strategy and that Ole himself wants to influence what the media writes about him and the team.
They have to get something interesting to write about, otherwise they put all the effort into sniffing out "sensational" tasks and then he cannot at all influence what headlines are created. In the worst case, the club's employees and their own fans also get an incorrect picture.
It's incredibly difficult to keep something secret in a large organization, someone always talks too much or with the wrong people about their job. Then it can be smart that Ole himself tells as much as he can and in this way also controls what the competitors find out of that way.
Our injury list has to be some kind of Premier League record for injured first team players , or getting very close to becoming one.
Exactly. Biggest difference between Mourinho and Ferguson for me is little to do with style, but Ferguon was a master at making sure the fans heard the messages they wanted to hear, even if on the field our defence was more effective than our offence at times, or we were playing in quite a reactive manner. He's learnt from the best, Fergie was a master at manipulating the press.
Will it bring "first touch" as well?Heh, I'll have to disagree with Ole on that. He's built like a linebacker. Too heavy for a receiver, too tall for a running back, too small for a lineman... Actually, he's almost identical in height and weight to the Tampa Bay Bucs' punter, Bryan Anger.
But he's right, that muscle can come right off in an offseason of appropriate training, and with that will come speed.
Will it bring "first touch" as well?
Yes. If you're blowing out your ass and can hardly think straight, your touch will go to shit. Anybody that's played 6 aside for the first time in ages can testify to that. Will it bring "first touch" as well?
Norwegian national booking is suggesting a Loss bet on Man United vs Crystal Palace, citing injuries and Crystal Palace being "due".
I don't think they saw what our reserve squad did against Liverpool.
We have not lost against Crystal Palace in 19 showings in the league. Apparently that is the current Premier League record
How can you not love him
Thanks for that. If we lose, I will find you.We have not lost against Crystal Palace in 19 showings in the league. Apparently that is the current Premier League record
Love him but I pray he doesn't get too friendly with the press. They will eat him up after a few bad games. You can't trust a journalist.
Yep.He is so impressive in front of the cameras. Who did he give the sunglasses to? Jamie ???
From what I read he was born in Willemstad, Cuaçao to mixed Dutch (father, although could be originally of Chinese descent) and Curaçaoan (mother) parents. At the age of 10 his family moved to Rotterdam. None of the above regarding parental roots is "officially" endorsed anywhere, therefore Wiki doesn't list it yet and it is probably best to take it with a pinch of salt. The father's nationality is the most fuzzy of the two.
Whether any of the above is true or not he seems like a guy who wants to retain some privacy so he's being well advised.
There are a fair few Chinese people scattered throughout the Caribbean so it's not so far fetched. Seeing a Chine person speaking with a Jamaican accent will blow your mind.
