Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

Fcuking hell. How do the Tories manage to make me hate them more and more and more (and more and more...) each bloody year.

Instead of making such an excruciatingly embarrassing video, why doesn't she tell us why it was such a brilliant idea to leave.
I am sure we would like to hear and compare it with reality.

Been reading some things here and there today and have decided this is how it’s going to go.

1. The UK will leave at the end of the month without a deal.
2. The US under Trump’s leadership will do a trade deal with the UK.
3. The UK will get screwed over by Trump (with the help of people like Farage, Johnson and JRM) and basically become a vassal state of the US.
4. The UK will lower it’s food health and safety standards to fall in line with the US.
5. The NHS will be scraped in favour of the American private health care system.

WTF is this shite:

Gammonball Run!

Lolwut

The whole point of Brexit is to give power back to British politicians and away from Brussels.

You can't vote for Brexit and then complain about incompetence in Westminster. The idea of "taking back control" is to give it to the very people you're decrying.

reminds me of the typical tv serieses of the 70s when one black person would be thrown in some minor role among a horde of white people just to add that teeny weeny diversity 'needed' into the mix. What a joke

On a different note, how long has he been leading Unite?
Wiki says since 2010 and if I remember correctly he won re election last year.
The kind of solution that makes union membership fees seem great value for money.
In fairness there's not a lot the union can do. The local work force voted away their own jobs(Plus Unions for decades now have been completely powerless/useless).

I would Kevin Keegan love it if Farage went down for money laundering.

PM accused of 'bribing MPs' with £1.6bn post-Brexit fund

Theresa May is being accused of "bribing MPs" in "a desperate measure to buy votes" as she launches a £1.6bn fund for pro-Brexit towns.

The new "Stronger Towns Fund", with cash handouts for constituencies that voted Leave, is being unveiled just days before MPs are due to vote again on the prime minister's deal.

"For too long in our country prosperity has been unfairly spread," said the PM. "Our economy has worked well for some places but we want it to work for all communities.

"Communities across the country voted for Brexit as an expression of their desire to see change - that must be a change for the better, with more opportunity and greater control.

"These towns have a glorious heritage, huge potential and, with the right help, a bright future ahead of them."

Only now after years of neglect from both parties do they find the money.

It’s incredible how little coverage there is at the moment in the UK given the country is 3 weeks away from the cliff edge.

desperate stuff here.

If I really thought that a petition would have any affect at all then I would gladly sign it. But it will unfortunately have no affect at all. Honda have made this decision and will not change. More is the pity.

Just about sums it up.

Irish drivers - heard today that you won’t be able to drive over the border into the north without a special permit. Taxi driver today was telling me because they sometimes get fares going from Dublin airport up to Belfast

Special permit... You mean an international driver's licence... They have been advising for months people should get one at least in the UK... Dunno about Irish government advice

Also a lot of insurances and breakdown covers are on a Europe wide basis... Not sure if these will still be valid?... But knowing insurers is they can avoid paying they will

  • Sir Ivan Rogers, the former UK ambassdor to the EU, has said Britain is not ready to face Brussels in the massively complex trade negotiations that will begin if Theresa May gets her Brexit deal through parliament. Speaking at the Institute for Government, he said:
[The future trade negotiation] is a much bigger task for London - for Whitehall and Westminster - than the negotiation we have just been through. It’s going to involve every department of state in depth from the top of those departments right down through the system ...

You’ve got to have confidence as chief trade negotiator, both at an official and ministerial level, that you have got a highly competent set of people in every area from aviation to energy to phytosanitary to competition to employment. In every area, you’ve got to have vetted that team, know it’s got the capabilities, know it’s got the resources, know it’s got the legal framework and the background and be at least as good as the team on the opposite side of the table. It isn’t the case. We are not in that position.

But what about the highly trained, competent team that will be negotiating with the USA,or what about the one for China , what about that immensely competent team for India , what about.... , hang on, just how many fantastically competent teams have the UK got...

Taxi driver seemed to think that there was something on the news today about a ‘green card’ not an international driving license

Either would be a pain in the arse though

I got an email today from Admiral saying that since I live in NI I will be getting a Green Card in due course which I might need to use in the event in of a No Deal Brexit.

It’s an insurance green card that means that they will be insured in NI. Most of the people in boarder towns have been given them.

Can we have the countdown in days? Or perhaps hours:mins:secs, like the TV series "24"? It will be more exciting! May reverses article 50 with only 2 seconds on the clock!

But beware! The clock terminates at 23:00 hours British Time on March 29th, not at 24:00 hours! That's because the countdown is in Brussels time! Another trap by the cunning EU!

After watching that Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix, I believe that Brexit is very similar but on a much bigger scale. They had many chances to pull the plug but just continued until it was too late and it turned into an absolute laughing stock of a shitshow. I wouldn't be surprised if May ordered one of her staff to perform certain "favours" in order to gain necessary concessions from Brussels.
