He's done it a couple of time this season, away at Liverpool was one.
At least Jenas's voice doesn't go all screechy.I don't know why BT do this. It's the same when McManaman is commentating on Liverpool games.
He knew where the ball was going since he had time to jump up and almost do a 360 when blocking the shot. Not this shit againDidn't know he was magician who could predit the curve of the ball in less than a split second and then have the reaction to adjust as well. Fecking hell.
When was the last that was the case? The atmosphere was dire against Sevilla last season and the same again against Juve and PSG this season too.We do tend to raise the roof on European nights, though.
How long you got?Who is that moron on BT?
It’s not a penalty. Neither was ours. You can’t defend with your arms literally against your side at all times, it’s nonsense.
IMO if your arms aren't tight to the side of your body and it hits you it should be a penalty. That's the best way to do it and leaves no room for debate etc.
Give them pogo sticks then they wouldn't have to move their arms. But no-one jumps or dives like that unless they're competing against Tom Daley.
It's as much the fault of the attacker hitting the arm than it is the fault of the defender having his arm there while trying to block the shot, but giving a penalty for that is a way too big advantage for the attacking team. It doesn't make sense at all and will ruin the art of defending. So the other team should be punished because you go in with your arms up?
It's not a booking but it's a pen. The advantage was given to the correct team.
Too many dinosaurs in this thread.IMO if your arms aren't tight to the side of your body and it hits you it should be a penalty. That's the best way to do it and leaves no room for debate etc.
"Doesn't matter if it's a shit rule, as long as it's applied consistently it's okay". Sigh.
But no-one jumps or dives like that unless they're competing against Tom Daley.
You don't apply a rule like that and it gets really subjective. I think the rule is fine, but players should only be booked if deliberate (so not sure why Rose was booked)But no-one jumps or dives like that unless they're competing against Tom Daley.

What we wont get tomorrow...Great reffing that!
The booking was really harsh. You don't apply a rule like that and it gets really subjective. I think the rule is fine, but players should only be booked if deliberate (so not sure why Rose was booked)
Then they risk giving a penalty away then don't they. But no-one jumps or dives like that unless they're competing against Tom Daley.
5 minutes into a 180 minute tie at 1-0 is far from over (but Porto are highly unlikely to get past us)...
There's a reason why I'm watching the Spurs/City game instead![]()
Penalty - clear as day.
