Well, that is one way. Other way is to sell Eriksen. Levy has advantage now over Poch. He lost chance to go in United or Real. Levy knows that. As i said, best offer that Poch can get is "sell to spend". Minus investment in those players, minus bill for water and electricity , minus agent fee, minus salary, minus vig...
Looking it now, after selling players Poch will be lucky if he can buy Crouch:)
 
It wouldn't surprise me to see him going to City - Guardiola won't be around forever, regardless of how brilliant he is.

Guardiola has 2 years left at the end of this season so I can see that sort of lining up perfectly with City. I think Guardiola will see out his contract and probably end up back in Barcelona. I think they're already putting the pieces together to entice him back (De Jong, De Ligt).

I think that too. He always repeated that he doesn't want to be manager for too long. He will go back in Barca and that will be his last job. Poch will go in City and Howe in Spurs.

Poch refused Tielemans allegedly, I can see why though he switches off defensively sometimes and besides he was only available for loan in January.

I just think that he tremendous faith in the squad to get us over the line and secure top 4, I mean it's kinda frustrating as a Spurs fan to see us not doing any business especially since we let Dembele go but at the sane time admirable that the manager trust the players to get the job done.

I reckon we will go back in for Grealish in the summer, I hope we get him because he is a quality player and he's exactly the type of player who would flourish under Poch's tutelage.

Your post doesn't make sense.

If we sell players this summer, as you've suggested we will, then our income will go up (not down). And if, again as you've suggested will happen, we don't sign new players to replace the ones sold, then our profits will rise compared to what they would otherwise have been.

Yes but players are finite resources. And you won’t be getting big fees thanks to Levy’s stubborness. I imagine Eriksen will leave on a free next season.

And then your income will suffer as you’ll not be making Champion’s League consistently if at all in the next few seasons.

These are sort of doom-and-gloom predictions that are made about Spurs every year. Mostly they fall flat. But we shall see.

Expecting that you will continue to ”challenge” for your first league title since the 1960’s is the truly baseless prediction! You lot haven’t even won the FA Cup in the Premier League era.

You aren’t even on the same level Arsenal were when they finished their new stadium in 2006. Far from it. And look where that got them.

I didn't think we would challenge for the league. Said that pretty consistently. Thanks for telling me what my club has won, I guess?

We're not the same as Arsenal, we're not run exactly the same as Arsenal (ineptly) and we don't have to end up the exact same way as Arsenal. I don't know what will happen to us in the near/long future but nor do you, but I think with our current infrastructure and revenue it's unlikely we're suddenly going to drop off the face of the earth or end up back in mid table.

So Levy is a better owner than the previous Arsenal owner structure before Kroenke (who admittedly is shit)? :lol:

Arsenal transformed themselves from having won 1 title in 35 years to consistently challenging and winning the Premiership. All while maintaining excellent finances and having great players.

All you have is a stingy geezer who got extremely lucky after appointing Tim Sherwood as permanent manager. The luck will dry up and his inaptitude will show again.

I'd take Levy over any other chairman in the league - despite him not spending a penny in the last two windows which was shameful. He has utterly transformed our club.

If Spurs want to challenge for the title and more, I don’t think Grealish would take them there. He would be a decent player to offer them some depth though.

However, Pochettino may be able to work his magic on him and make him into a top talent like Ali, Son, Kane and son on, but that would take some time and is a huge gamble. If Eriken leaves Spurs should be going for players like Pepe, Suso or Chiesa. pochettino has made Spurs a contender for the title, so their board should start supporting him in such manner.

Beside those attacker, an elite midfielder. Kroos may leave madrid to make way for some of their signing. I feel that he might do well at Spurs if Eriksen leaves and provide great range of passing. However, Pochettino seems to like strong hard working midfielder, so N’Dombele would suit your side more.

Trippier/Aurier - Alderweild/Sanchez - Verthgonen/Forsyth - Rose/Davis
Sissoko/Wanyama - N’Dombele/Wink

Yes we all remember all those successful Spurs years from 2001-2014 with such legendary managerial appointments such as Glen Hoddle and Tim Sherwood :lol:

All the ”transformation” we’re seeing now isn’t thanks to Levy. And it’s a flash in the pan anyway.
 
I have not been having the best of times in the last couple years, all the managers that I wanted to manage United ended up somewhere else or stayed put.

Klopp -> Liverpool
Tuchel -> PSG
Poch -> Spurs

and now I gotta deal with the Molde manager because he’s a United legend, “puts smiles back on faces” and “knows what United is about”, whatever that means.

I had that in mind should we keep Eriksen but nevertheless I'd still take him plus another like Ndombele if Eriksen leaves but I still want us to sign him, as for an attacker would take Zaha over any of them to be honest.

We'll see if Levy backs him this summer and what I mean by that is offering good players that will make a difference.

Such an elitist you are with absolutely no grasp on football at all out side the United bubble. Since Levy took over big clubs like Everton, Villa, Newcastle all plumitted while Tottenham without a sugar daddy investor has managed to pull its self to the top teir of the league.

Levy has done many things wrong but on the whole what he has done since Sugar almost ruined us is remarkable IMO.

All very true. To have provided us with the world's best stadium and a fantastic training centre, all whilst the club has become an established top 4 club in the face of 5 other wealthier clubs ... And to also have also established us in the global top 10 income wise ...

Levy has performed miracles, putting in place the long-term building blocks to support our ambition to become an elite club.

I think third in the league, and in the EL QFS is decent enough considering most, again, said we would struggle and we would struggle in our new home. Remember the fact we signed no one would mean everyone else would get a step ahead, oh and Poch couldn’t wait to leave.

If Eriksen leaves, Spurs should sign Dybala. Poch will get the best out of the Argie.
 
Spurs can afford Dybala's left foot, that'll get you some goals but you'll be playing a man down.
