Doubt he even thought all this would happen. Nobody in their right mind thought people would vote Brexit, then it just rolled on from there. Everybody with their own agenda, that is both sides of the house. They have all been a disgrace. All looking out for themselves and their careers and profiles rather than what is good for the country.
Their policies would suggest otherwise.

We know he's a clown and a racist. Now that he's PM he can't hide from his gaffes and repugnant views. He'll either surprise us all or be run out of office.

Yep. With the tiniest changes, if the EU wants to humour us. Without even that, if they don't.
It's the only way to leave with an agreement. Hopefully people will stop calling it May's deal and call it the Withdrawal Agreement.

Or more accurately again calling it "the financial settlement to commence trade negotiations".
It's very much May's deal though because it was negotiated within her rigidly fixed red lines. Another PM with a more flexible approach could have negotiated something much different.
I expect to see that stance quickly reversed when she's faced with a prospect of a Tory + TBP coalition for no deal Brexit in the event of a general election.
Damaging as the last coalition was for the Lib Dems and sceptical as they might be about entering a new one, they might actually deliver on their flagship policy this time round. Which will increase rather than decrease their popularity.
And assurance of citizens rights and that the UK won't break the GFA. It is only a stepping stone to the next phase after all
As per above I don't see what else could be different, the rest of it comes later after phase 1 is completed. May had no choice if the UK weren't to stay in the CU or SM, those are the red lines as they are Corbyn's and if you kept the SM and CU there's no point in leaving.
