Maybe they should save tests for people who aren't athletes. Maybe.
Don’t do it to yourself, it’s overWe'll need confidence that covid 19 is under control in the next few weeks to allow BCD games to start. That doesn't mean players will be free of it, just that there will be a vaccine/cure already in circulation which raises positivity around Europe that it's no longer more deadly than the flu (as is the feeling at the moment).
Time for Liverpool fans that became crack lawyers in linguistics during the Suarez Saga to become pharmacy and distribution experts.
Come on, let's be 'aving ya, Avigan!
Fixed for you.Maybe they should save tests for people who aren't rich. Maybe, but most likely not.
How many tests are we talking about if you have to test 23 players per team plus staff and stadium workers for 92 games. What if one player is positive? You've exposed the rest of the players to the virus. They'll need to train right? You'll have them trapped somewhere for them not to get the virus? Makes no sense... What about expiring contracts? There's teams with up to 10 players with contracts expiring in june. Chelsea have Pedro, Willian and Giroud for example. Is that fair for them? Why wouldn't they test all those involved before holding matches behind closed doors given what we know now? This seems obvious. The reason why we are supposed to avoid contact with other people is because of the lack of testing for the general populace means we don't know who is a carrier.

Kicking the can down the road. Probably the right thing to do for the moment. Even if the chances of the season restarting are remote.Coronavirus: Premier League set to push to complete the season

Arse-kissing cnut. However Brighton and Hove Albion chief executive Paul Barber told the BBC that it would be "unjust" if runaway leaders Liverpool were denied the title
There isn't a single utd fan that would suggest the season should be null and void if they were top of the league, 25 points clear with 9 games. Anyone who suggests otherwise are simply talking rubbish and are deceiving themselves. It's that simple. Cut the crap and say it how it is. You want it null and void to stop Liverpool from winning the league.
When everyone puts their self interest to one side, do you honestly not think it would be more sensible to complete the current season before starting a new one when especially when there is absolutely no guarantee that next season would be finished either? Non of you and I include myself in this have clue when the 2020/2021 season will start. Imagine having two cancelled seasons. There is every chance there could be another outbreak. For the integrity of the sport the current season needs to be resumed and completed and the logistics about next season can be dealt with later.

I’m seriously not bothered about whether they win or not. People are actually dying. Fvck this stupid argument. Void the season and if they’re as good as they say they are they’ll win it next year and be rewarded accordingly. The clamour for finishing the season is so misguided given the measures that the rest of us are having to go through. Selfish pr1cksYeah, they've really shown what their about with their selfishness on this one. I said a week ago to null it for banter now I genuinely want them to be deprived. To be honest all the luck and dodgy decisions they got to create the gap at the top pulled them so far in front anyway. Was never a fair title race.
Nobody really gives a feck now anyway, have a trophy if it makes you, Dalglish & Co sleep better at night. Some people are losing jobs, careers, homes, loved ones, or their lives themselves. The integrity of sport is way down on the list of priorities now. There isn't a single utd fan that would suggest the season should be null and void if they were top of the league, 25 points clear with 9 games. There is no integrity at the moment. Not sure of the point you’re makingIntegrity of the sport.....Jesus Christ.
Give Liverpool a trophy. They deserve it. But a lot of people are dying and that is actually more important .There is no integrity at the moment. Not sure of the point you’re making

I would love for this to happen in the next few weeks, and would happily see Liverpool crowned champions for a decade if it meant that we would be in this situation in a few weeks, but that's just pure fantasy based on everything I've read and the medical experts I've spoken to.We'll need confidence that covid 19 is under control in the next few weeks to allow BCD games to start. I want the league to be completed because there is every chance with Liverpool's waining form they will be caught by the end of the season. It is far from won and this could be the greatest choke the football world has ever seen. There isn't a single utd fan that would suggest the season should be null and void if they were top of the league, 25 points clear with 9 games. Agree, but it seems unlikely atm imo:Would top-level football industry suffer its first recession? This is argubly one big industry which has only grown. Then, there is the growing income gap between fans and players, how can it be tackled? Football is expensive and it's not sustainable model for common fans. Will elite players now be considered as rich people first than players? They are getting tested whereas common man is struck in a big line. It's probably a moment for football to re calibrate....
However we're expected to have a new test that:The test has also been limited to the most vulnerable – so those in hospital, people in intensive care units and those with respiratory illness, especially pneumonia.

At the moment, no country has this test – but Mr Johnson revealed today the UK is a step closer to having one

Not really. "Integrity" of the sport doesn't lay in giving this season importance over the next one. There isn't a single utd fan that would suggest the season should be null and void if they were top of the league, 25 points clear with 9 games. Anyone who suggests otherwise are simply talking rubbish and are deceiving themselves. It's that simple. Cut the crap and say it how it is. They have to try and complete as it's only fair. But I don't think that should be sole objective as this Liverpool fan suggested. IMO try and find an outcome that is suitable by July. Otherwise scrap it.It's inevitable in this meeting today that they'll say they want to complete the season. That's obvious.
It still doesn't take away the ever so slight issue that it won't be possible for the forseeable.
The irony is strong with this one. There isn't a single utd fan that would suggest the season should be null and void if they were top of the league, 25 points clear with 9 games. Or if Liverpool win the League. Do you honestly think their fans are going to turn off the tv and go to bed after 30 years? BCD isn’t going to workThere’s another issue with BCD...what happened at PSG the other day? The fans just showed up anyway outside the ground, the moment that happens here then the government will just stop the games. So, a team is stuck in the premier league relegation places, how long before a couple of thousand of their supporters decide to gather outside the ground....
Liverpool haven't even mathematically secured the title. Till then, feck off.
That's all very nice and I agree with your sentiment even if I don't agree with your real selfish intentions behind that sentiment. Your intentions are as selfish mine if I may qualify.
In the real world, money talks. The PL, along with Uefa and FIFA, will do what's right. Financially. And before we get on our high horses, we individually pay them through our noses for that privilege.

Yeah same. They have to at least try then nobody can complain. No chance this league gets completed by 30th June without breaking national protocol.I think legally and for appearances sake they have to pretend they're go to complete the season, I'm sure every effort will be made to do so, but they can't they won't, and it's all leading to a big old meltdown when its rightfully cancelled and made void.
