They've done a lot more. They've published publicly available scientific papers, shared data with the WHO, and discussed treatment strategies that other countries seem to be taking into account.
This annoys me to be honest, anyone not really keeping up, or like me anyone with information overload who doesn't remember the previous days figure, won't really see the significance each day.

Depends, you probably played with the bacteria plague which is the easiest. There are virus, fungus, parasite, worm, prion etc, all with different characteristics. I'm stuck on the fungal one at the moment. It passes the time for sure, I like it.
Kinda the equivalent of breeding a maniacal fighting dog, letting it loose in all your neighbour's yards and then 'helping them out' with directions to the nearest Hospital.
This is their doing, this whole thing. And by 'their' I mean the Chinese Government, not any and every person from China.
This is why this £350 billion for businesses needed to come with strings attached. People are still going to lose their jobs and the money will just get pocketed like it always does.

The point is whether you trust info from China or not, and I don't see any reason not to. Again, I've read that the treatments they found work best ahve been tested elsewhere and fond to work as well. So it's ont like they're just sending out nonsense data.

I don't trust data only from saints. If that's your standard kep waiting 10 years to even confirm if this is a virus.

WHO may well have messed up. That original visual is, however, deliberately misleading.
After all this is said and done, we need to start pressuring them to end these wet markets.
It's hard to know what to say on this anymore, I live in a fairly isolated area in England, and stupidly thought I was fairly insulated, yet my sister has had Covid-19 symptoms (returned from Portugal two weeks ago), rang 111, and they wouldn't test her, my brother's wife has just found out her friend ( a teacher) has tested positive, someone she has seen daily, he was ill 2-3 weeks ago, as was their son, as was I, as was my wife, as was my son, etc, the point is it's just all around us, there is no realistic way of avoiding it.
Not quite clear on your timing but it sounds like you may have been infected and cleared?
Absolutely. The best we can do is prepare our bodies to get it (exercise, sleep, food, vitamins), try NOT to get it and also hope that if we do, it’s mild to medium illness.
These pandemics will become more common. The Guardian wrote an article that this is just the tip of the ice berg.
The thing as well is that we could pick up the disease that initially stemmed from bats from pigs. As in it passed from bats to pigs to us. Swine flu was pigs.
It is not just China as well. Ebola is central Africa. Some argue that Spanish Flu came from America or France.
We have been due a pandemic for some time tbh. As miserable and frightening as it is.
Just saw on Portuguese news, lots of British tourists (and residents) queeing on Algarve airport and packing flights to return home, with little precautions and lots of fear.
Interesting he dosen't think closing down schools is an ideal scenario. Nor limiting air travel. Interesting interview. Only time will tell with all these theories.

We won't need to do that. I doubt they still exist and the Chinese will not allow them to resurface.
Timings are out I agree, but symptoms stack up.. I think, the lack of testing is going to make this worse if they don't get it sorted asap, I/we could just as easily have had the usual stuff at this time of year.
