Boris Johnson released from hospital

On one hand, such arse-kissing is expected from that paper but on the other are they wrong? He's an unashamed racist with some charisma, the British public are of course going to lap that up.

The Churchillfication of the Johnson begins here. Funnily enough Churchill was a horrible old racist as well.

He’ll do a press conference on Easter Sunday. Britain’s Christ figure, returned from the dead to lead us all to glory.

Good news that he's getting better. Love him or loathe him the last thing the country needs right now is a behind the scenes power struggle between his possible replacements.

Its good that he got better and that he is now out of the ICU but this is about to get really ugly.

The blind support of Boris before this was sickening, especially since his voting record and policies have led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people both domestically and abroad. He and his government have been nothing short of disastrous since the virus hit. They totally ignored the Cygnus report which almost certainly would have reduced the impact of this.

Now that this little piece of shit is out of hospital, it is time again to be putting pressure on him and the rest of his sociopathic party. Need to prevent him becoming this untouchable saviour figure.

Not doubting that the man has had a tough time of it with this virus over the last couple of weeks, but the date of his release is predictable and convenient.

Can't wait for the Sun's 'HE HAS RISEN' headline

Do people really believe this is some kind of set up?

No, you'd have to have some kind of tin foil hat to suggest it would. Good to see him out, hopefully now we can start having some proper political debate on our response to start getting it in the right direction.

I am happy that Boris got released from the hospital and the worst has passed. Now I can post again how terrible he is, and how his choice to avoid the lockdown and go by herd immunity might have doomed a few thousand extra people from the same disease he was struggling when we were supposed to give a shot about him surviving.

He truly is a national hero.

Either that or it was a ploy by Cummings for him to catch CV19 to show he was a man of the people.
Nearly backfired...
Or did it...

Ironic that he has thanked, personally, his nurses, neither of which are British nationals. One of which is an EU worker. (New Zealand and Portugal)

Pity it's too late to stop the sheer lunacy of Brexit. Who would be caring for all these patients if this had happened next year, or after?

Any white text?

Would it be okay to call Corbyn this on here if he'd nearly died in hospital?

This forum has been horrible to read at times lately in lots of threads.

It should be OK to call Boris out or anyone else on this before he got sick, when he got sick and after the fact (whether he had died, or, as it fortunatelly happened, whether he recovered).

Doing it without being insensitive or a bell-end is the challenge.

Are you saying he's not a piece of shit? If so, why not?

I wouldn't call Corbyn a piece of shit because he's not a piece of shit. If other people felt the need to, I would have a debate on why.

As usual @Arruda gets it.

Let's hope he has had somewhat of a Road to Damascus moment. Nearly dying can do that for you.

I’ll judge how ill he actually was by how quick his recovery is. Every medical expert I saw discussing his situation said that if he’s in intensive care, he will be out of action for a lot of weeks and likely months. People who have come out of ICU from this have still be suffering with shortness of breath and fatigue.

He was on a ward at St. Thomas' hospital. Not much of a cover-up.

Im not saying it’s a conspiracy, I just reckon the bar for him to be admitted was a bit lower than others.

Seems likely, he's on the very lower end of time spent on an ICU for this anyway. Did he ever even need ventilator os vasopressor support? I didn't follow this story.

I think the furthest they admitted was he "required supplemental oxygen", but they said he was never on a ventilator.

That's a simple O2 mask.

I didn’t at all but now I think about it - it’s perfect to curry favour with the easily persuaded. Keep talking about grateful you are for the NHS because they saved your life while slowly privatising it and there will be loads of idiots saying there’s no way he’d do that. Also helps make him look more on the working class level as he used NHS services rather than private.

It’s the least likely scenario by far, but I also wouldn’t put it past them. They’ve won a big working class percentage over and I think they’d very much like to keep it. It wouldn’t exactly be gobsmacking if it had at least been hammed up a bit.
