That approach wouldn't drive property prices in the area down though.
True. But surely those houses are fairly cheap anyway in the context of football money.

Prem also to be decided on sporting merit in any circumstance.
So either we play the games, or something such as PPG will be used.
Think that's the dream over. Oh well, atleast there party got fecked.
That's a bit rich eh coming from those who actually plays football in the times of corona
The people in the ground (the players, coaches, etc) will be at work.
The morons congregating outside are not. I'd let the police get the hoses out on them.
The problem is that they already are getting infected.Hopefully it gets finished if safe and neutral venues is about as fair as it can get it the surrent climate. I say take it and run with it assuming players don't start getting infected.
Clubs should be incredibly forthright and strict about this. Don't come to the ground, if you do you are endangering the lives of others and we'll ban you for life.
Yeah what we need is dozens of police at the stadium to handle them allAgree, but not just the Clubs but the judicial System as well.
If there is a game going on and some cretins decide to go anywhere near the gorund they should get a custodial sentence.

Truly amazing that anyone is that crass to write a headline like that
Null and Void. The only outcome I want and I base this on my utter hatred for Liverpool FC.
Thanks for reading
At least they're not the ones doing the robbing this time.
I thought the biggest piece for neutral grounds was that you could have (say) 4 games in a row and you wouldn't need to have 5 sets of support staff (TV, stewards etc) therefore reducing the risk of spreading/ contracting the virus?
Either way, I don't think it's very likely that anything restarts soon. I'm only seeing from the outside but as things start to open up, there are going to be lots of issues with social distancing. Even if you want to stay clear of everyone else, you can hardly prevent other people being close to you in many situations. I hope that this isn't true and we see a continuous decline in cases but given what we've seen that doesn't seem very likely. It seems far more likely that cases will rise.
Some clubs seem to think the government will just fold and let them play home / away like normal according to some news reports...
This will be interesting, will the government give in and probably totally undermine it's response to the pandemic, does the money matter more than the neutral venue idea?
Yes I saw this somewhere too.
I think the plan was to have 3 matches a day in the same stadium?
Glad this year is working out for you. Must be a glorious day for a liverpool supporter. *I enjoyed the 300 pages of mental gymnastics nonetheless. Hope being the killer again obviously, even though it was never in doubt.![]()
Not really sure what your on about.I enjoyed the 300 pages of mental gymnastics nonetheless. Hope being the killer again obviously, even though it was never in doubt.![]()

I doubt even today’s update will stop some people from banging the void drum.I enjoyed the 300 pages of mental gymnastics nonetheless. Hope being the killer again obviously, even though it was never in doubt.![]()

I had to check it wasn’t ‘fake news’ and photoshopped, but no it’s there on their website.
everyone associated with Liverpool really are tone deaf about the situation. Such as insular, inward looking club who have seemingly no concept of the bigger picture. They really are a horrible football club.
You're seriously paranoid about United mate. No one could care less.
how long does it take to deep clean dressing rooms and communal areas properly?
I guess it could be possible to do 3 in a day.
That makes sense I guess but it's not going to stop watch parties or gatherings elsewhere. Hell, it probably won't stop Liverpool fans from gather outside Anfield even if they're playing in London.I would imagine that having the games at home stadiums will encourage local fans to gather within the vicinity. If Liverpool were busy winning the league inside an empty Anfield, you can be certain that outside won’t be empty.
Players wouldn't use them.
Would arrive at the stadium in their kit.
It's on the LFC website ??? I couldn't find it.
the point is Pogba could pick it up and spread it to his mother or father and kill them.
I am pissed off with lock down, I am pissed off that my life is upside fecking down because of this poxy virus but I am one of the lucky ones. I work for the government, I am paid well and my wage hasnt taken a hit. I am saving a fortune on fuel every week as I am working from home. I am relatively young and fit and I think If I got the virus I would be ok. But it would probably kill my mother and my parents in law. They are old and not as fit as they once were.
As far as football goes, I want the season to finish to maintain the sporting integrity. Liverpool deserve to win the title and its a shame for you and your fellow supporters that were waiting so long for it, but I dont see how it can be finished at this point. Its too dangerous to potentially spread the disease. Thats the issue.
To have any chance of getting some form of competition in next season , this one has to get to a point were we draw a line through it. If that means pool being given the title or table as is etc, I dont really care. I just think people need to get real here. Draw a line through it and look to figure out how to get next season going in August/September. Its about safety of the masses - not Pogba or Liverpool winning the league.
Liverpool Echo.
