Most of his supporters were wearing riot gear and using mace over the last couple of days.
Has anyone involved, be it protestors or the police, been killed yet?

I understand this but he could easily change that opinion also, he did introduce Obama care which benefited a lot of the black community that couldn’t afford health insurance.

He'd have to quit the Democratic Party. This goes beyond party politcs but the two party system is massively to blame in many respects. It allows for a false consciousness to take place where people pin change on one person and blame on another. That's the takeaway of American presidential politics since the 1960s. Trump is the latest in a line of people made to seem like the entire problem by another faction who themselves change nothing of note when in power. It's really like a one party system with two groups of people looking at it differently.

Protestors have been killed. Some by the police. Others by civilians.
Judging off everything I've seen thus far, a lot of police have genuinely gone rogue haven't they?
This isn't about protecting America, or even protecting white folk over black, they're closing ranks and destroying things almost as if it's a coup attempt.
Without all the usual tactics of dressing like protestors or other groups being agent provocateurs, it seems a lot of police forces have just gone 'feck it, we might as well'.

Obviously it's different to 1992 or even all the civil rights movements/protests/riots in the 60's because social media is capturing it and not letting them hide it (a massively good thing it must be said, for once social media is good) but did they do this for the L.A. riots or back in the 60's?
I feel like I probably already know the answer will be yes but in the sheer absence of any leadership at a Presidential level (Trump right now is nothing, completely reduced to nothing), they appear to be going for the top themselves.

As remarkable as it's unsurprising. My guess is the majority of them would feel right at home in a totalitarian state, as long as it's "their" state & they get a neat uniform or comfy civilian occupation. You can judge better on that, but it's my impression from ~7000 km away.

But it does matter. I'm pleasantly shocked at how the world is reacting. And they're doing it at great personal risk, not as some sunny outing. I understand your concerns too, the impact to the at risk people and I really hope they remain as safe as possible throughout this.
But there's something big unfolding before our eyes. This is history right here. This does not seem to be another Rodney King or Trayvon Martin. This is Malcolm X / MLK level shit.
Police forces are trying to keep sanity and protect property (certain property), as they are directed. If it has 'genuinely gone rogue', they'd be murdering protesters, which they obviously are not.
Cities are enacting curfews and some people are defying those and destroying/defacing property and looting. They are looting convenience stores/7 Elevens, CVS stores, etc. Those stores could be owned by a Black American, but they don't know nor do they give a shit. These aren't necessarily people protesting, but destroying shit because they are being criminals. And the thing is, many of them are young kids, young adults who are vandalizing and destroying property.
To your point, phones w/video and the personal tech access many of us now have, document everything, including police brutality/crimes. In LA, police were probably more aggressive and vigilante because they weren't aware of being recorded. And news equipment was so clunky and heavy, so it was difficult to maneuver and follow.
Bingo. The worst part is that Americans exported their kind of "democracy" all around the world and many ruling elites reformed their ways in order to look like they have implemented a humane and just governance system, whereas in fact it's all a big sham.
I have three family members over the age of 70 in Dublin. I'd really appreciate if these fecking dickheads would stay at home so I don't have to experience another family member hospitalisation.

Take a knee. Grab a loudspeaker, address the crowd. Apologise. Tell them they are heard. Ask them for calm. Promise change. Make change happen.
Not that it should be a consoderation, but That person would stand to be one of the pivotal people in US history.

The social media feeds thing is a cheap shot. The Irish know well what oppression looks like and the people out there feels strongly about it enough to take to the streets.
If you don't think that world wide protests will have an affect on the situation I'm not sure what to say.

To be honest, I don’t even think the protests in the US will have any effect on the situation. We’ve seen it all before and let’s not forget that thousands upon thousands of those people protesting didn’t even use their vote to keep the orange racist out of the White House. WTF?!
But yes, I stand by my comments that the protests in Dublin today (or anywhere in Europe) will do sweet feck all to reverse systemic racism on the far side of the Atlantic.
I’m well aware of our history of fighting for civil rights and in any other year, at any other time, I’d be proud as punch to see our streets full of people supporting the BLM movement. Even if it changes nothing’s it’s good to show we care. Not now though. Feck that. We have to find a different way to express solidarity. A way that won’t reverse the hard yards we’ve all fought together to win against this virus. It can’t be all that difficult, surely?
