Premier League Gameweek 33+34

It would be amusing if they got less points than last year, TBF.

God they really love their long balls don’t they? They just launch diagonal over and over. Christ.

Winning the league with 6/7 games to go could actually really feck them if they aren't careful. With no other competitions on the table they're going to take their foot off the gas a wee bit even if they are training as intensely as they were before. The mental side of the journey is gone and they have to be careful that they don't go too far the other way now.

Especially because we’re apparently only having a 2 week break after the CL and EL finish.

Understandable lack of intensity from Liverpool, playing like a team with nothing to play for

Liverpool are fecking gash. They've been shit for some while now.
The certainly did the legwork in winning the league by Christmas, in the last few months (either side of COVID) they have been average.

Compare that penalty shout to the one mane got against Leicester earlier this season. Same minimal contact but one given and the other not

Would be a great point for Villa if they could hold on. Expecting Liverpool to grab a couple early in the second half though, Villa always fall to pieces in the end.

Finding it difficult to watch this tumescent stuff after being used to United's attacking displays :boring:

This did remind me,was Cisse any good for Liverpool ?
Well the kid from the Adidas commercial in 2006 did pick him ahead of Zidane, Kaka, Becks, Messi and a prime Beckenbauer. But kidding aside; no, he was garbage and that kid should be shamed to this day for his team selection.

I tend to agree, kicked his heel while running, anywhere else on the pitch it's a free kick.

Tall, floppy hair, calm on the ball, looks quite slow but actually got a decent top speed. That’s all I’ve got.

Plus that lazy look on their faces looking like they just got out of bed.

They're great team that absolutely deserved the title, but I just can't comprehend how anyone can believe they're the best EPL team ever. Spamming long balls and setting the world record for scrappy wins, but who cares.

I think they lift the trophy after the Chelsea game so hopefully that will be motivation for them then.

In fairness only the most blinkered of Pool supporters and shit stirrers are making that claim.
To be even considered a great team they are going to have to win another title or two.

This is why they should have taken FA cup seriously. It hardly made sense how klopp was dismissive of the FA cup when in reality the league was all but won.

Urgh, Villa have dropped that abysmal goalkeeper. Was hoping he’d be in goal when we played them. Reina is a giant improvement

Is it safe to say, along with City, United look easily the best team since we have been back from the break? Our intensity is just another level compared to most.

What are the Ole out people thoughts about Liverpool underperforming when they have 3 starters out of the line up today? Is it still a matter of system, coaching whatever without ever considering the players, the injuries etc? Or are they ready to give credit to Ole?

Do Liverpool actually create any chances that aren't from a long ball or a cross?

This could be a painful run in for Liverpool if this is the standard until the end of the season.

Villa are one of the worst teams in the league, with arguably the worst manager in terms of their style of play.

It could be a woeful trot to the trophy lifting based on this.
