United fans are protesting at Carrington

I appreciate that the forum needs humour from time to time. But..

I don't get it!.

People pissing and moaning that they want the owners out and "we need to protest". But when a few lads turn up to the training ground with banners virtually every comment is ripping the shit out of them. What a Joke!

You should have spent more than 30 seconds on your banners chief.

So has anyone set up one of them government online petition things?

Stupid protest, I agree we are all enraged but the team has a fecking game on sunday and needs to be prepared. Who cares about the ESL as long as all clubs pulled out of it now? People are being too dramatic for no reason, okay our voices have been heard etc but just get on with it. The Glazers part can be discussed after we finish the PL and hopefully win the EL.

Fans are completely delusional if they expect an employee speak out on the people that pay their salary. Tank his entire career for nothing. What do you think is going to happen if Ole “takes a stand”? The Glazers pack their bags overnight? It doesn’t work like that. They own the club and they can be protested out. Fans might enforce it, if Old Trafford is empty every week. But the manager? Gets fired, doesn’t get work again because nobody will employ someone who turns on the owner. The level of expectation on the players and manager to attack the company they work for is beyond delusional and is straight up embarrassing at this point. Fans are emotional, I get it, but real life doesn’t work that way.

Nobody with any sense is asking Ole to attack the owners. If what he reportedly said I true, likely not, he would have been better off saying nothing at all.

:wenger:

So it's okay because they backtracked now? Now is the perfect time to protest.

This kind of attitude would have people still be slaves. Sometimes things are a bit more important than being prepared for a meaningless game in the context of this season.

How did they even get into the training ground all by themselves? Was there no security around it and especially when the players and coaching staff are there and training?

Players don't arrive until 10am. They weren't there. But yeah not a good look and now United will have to beef up security.

No it's not okay, but finishing the league strongly and winning the EL is more important I would say.

That’s the talk of people who forgive when given a nice shiny new present. Like a big signing. This is more important than where and how we finish.

If you really think a bunch of fans protesting in Carrington will cause the Glazers to sell you are highly delusional, they own the most valuable club in world football and they never really showed they care whether people like them or not. It's a winning business for them and all this saga will be forgotten during summer..

Spurs Fans who we often laugh at made a better effort. Proper signage made and more professional looking. Ours was an embarrassment in comparison, hopefully will be better on Saturday.
I posted though because, why annoy the players with this and distract them from their work. They had no part in the whole ESL fiasco and even played a big part in getting it stopped. Why protest at their training ground and set us up for a bad result on Sunday. Idiots!
Target the Glazers and the Glazers only!

I completely disagree. The lads at Carrington have spoken with Players, coaches and the manager of Manchester United FFS. They also made the national news and are trending on twitter.

Genuinely, the only reason I knew Spurs had a protest was because I saw a picture on twitter taking the piss because one of the fans protesting had a 'Spurs Shop' carrier bag and was being ridiculed for the hypocrisy.

It's not about what it looks like, it doesn't have to be 'professional', it has to make an impact and that is exactly what these lads have done.

You protest when everything is fresh in people minds, not later. Strike while the irons hot.

Same.

Nothing pisses me off more than a bunch of armchair fans making pathetic posts about actual supporters that have got off their arses and done something. Fecking grammar prcks.

Good on the United fans, don't let this up. Keep at them until the Glazers have gone.

Nothing that wasn't tried over a decade ago and they're still here, with no reason to sell up. Piss off the players and training ground staff is all they'll do. Must be a better way, but a dozen blokes in hoodies isn't it.

No what I think is that this is part of a concerted movement to get the rats out. If you think any movement for significant change in history started by being supported by the majority or even a significant minority, you need to read up on your history.

We live in times where blood doesn't need to be shed but it still means some tough choices like disrupting training may have to be made.

No one ever achieved meaningful change by prioritising the care of their own back garden.

Disagree. The team still needs supporting. This wont be an overnight result and it isnt the players fault. We cant sacrifice a couple of seasons for an outcome that may never happen.
Suppoet the club, not the owners.

Can't say what he said out of respect for him? Must've been bad then

it’s not from a source i trust 100% but i’m informed he said “please just let me do my job. or don’t. i don’t actually give a shit. i’m only managing united because i lost a bet. like all danish people, i’d rather be eating meatballs in my volvo.”

ffs you are sitting behind your pc and talking as if we are about to wear our red shirts and march to OT, just wake up, the team needs to finish strongly so we can continue the rebuilding process Ole started. Our improvement deserves a trophy this year and if we call ourselves real fans, we stand behind our club, manager and players. I don't care how much of an ass the Glazers are, Woodward is stepping down for starters and all our focus should be on finishing the season strongly.

Always infighting. This is why it fails

But if that Ole Quote is BS, then feck them too

Dont know who to believe?

The only way to hurt these people is to drive a stake through their wallet.

correct. all publicity showing fans discontent is good publicity, but they are billionaires, they have got to where they are by screwing people over. having a handful of people protesting is nothing they haven’t glossed over before. they won’t listen to a few men and some bedsheets. protests are good, but there needs to be organised action.

don’t buy kits, pressure and boycott sponsors, don’t turn up on match days, the club will have to suffer before they leave. it will have to not be profitable. they are not here for love or affection, they are here to make money, whilst they are doing that they don’t give a shit about a few dissenting voices along the way.

RI lying again. Shocker.

Even if he had said it, managers are in a really difficult situation with this. Didn't SAF call the Glazers "marvellous owners" and "great" for the club during the green and gold protests.

It's a very fine line for managers to walk when facing fans on one side and owners on the other. I think you could forgive pretty much anything he might say.

If it brings more attention to it then I'm glad. Good on them.
