United fans are protesting at Carrington

ffs you are sitting behind your pc and talking as if we are about to wear our red shirts and march to OT, just wake up, the team needs to finish strongly so we can continue the rebuilding process Ole started. Our improvement deserves a trophy this year and if we call ourselves real fans, we stand behind our club, manager and players. I don't care how much of an ass the Glazers are, Woodward is stepping down for starters and all our focus should be on finishing the season strongly.

I may be sitting behind my PC but I am not disparaging the efforts of those who did do something.

To me, your attitude is like trying to repair a broken marriage when your partner has turned deceitful and openly admits they'll screw you over time and again. No point having the marriage if the foundation is rotten.

If the Glazers keep United, sooner or later the rot will spread to everything in the club.

15 blokes dressed in black hoodies painting one of their bed sheets hanging about a training ground for 10mins before being moved on sharpish.

That'll show em.

No it's not okay, but finishing the league strongly and winning the EL is more important I would say.
Neither of those two would have mattered had they got their way. Listen to the noises these cretins are making, these types do not like to lose, they're plotting the next version of the ESL as we speak. They need cutting out root and stem.

Sums you up then. Sure they only just tried to launch a "tournament" behind all of our backs that would have destroyed English football as we know it and drag United's name along the mud with it in the process. Who cares about any of that, we've a match against Leeds on Sunday.

We need more out there. More people have commentated on this thread than showed up.
Why wasnt this widely shared before hand? Get them an account on here
@15_brave_men
They decide when you play

If you really think a bunch of fans protesting in Carrington will cause the Glazers to sell you are highly delusional, they own the most valuable club in world football and they never really showed they care whether people like them or not. It's a winning business for them and all this saga will be forgotten during summer..

It will only be forgotten if folks give up protesting. Every little bit helps. This is making news worldwide despite the small scale.

Fans are completely delusional if they expect an employee speak out on the people that pay their salary. Tank his entire career for nothing. What do you think is going to happen if Ole “takes a stand”? The Glazers pack their bags overnight? It doesn’t work like that. They own the club and they can be protested out. Fans might enforce it, if Old Trafford is empty every week. But the manager? Gets fired, doesn’t get work again because nobody will employ someone who turns on the owner. The level of expectation on the players and manager to attack the company they work for is beyond delusional and is straight up embarrassing at this point. Fans are emotional, I get it, but real life doesn’t work that way.

The only way you can truly be effective in breaking a monopoly like this is pressure from all sides. Ole is better off working it from the inside and being there when the external pressure builds to such an extent that any little inside insubordination could bring it all tumbling down or finally start the wheels in motion. People are acting like him walking away or saying fk the glazers is the only way to play this and it’s just stupid and extremely shot sighted. This could go on for months or years. Ole is our custodian on the inside. We know he at least cares about the fans.

Can we all just take a step back and think about a “fanzine” making shit up about Ole just to turn fans against him? Can we fecking protest them cnuts too.
That twitter account has no affiliation to the fanzine whatsoever. It's an unfortunate situation.

Imagine using this situation to have pops at our manager and a club legend that want nothing but the best for our club. Incredible.

Whilst I appreciate the effort, this is entirely the problem and why what we’ve seen over the last 72 hours was so effective. We banded together as a football community and the outrage was there for all to see - now we’re back to a dozen blokes with some soiled bedsheets. Let’s face it, that statement “we decide when you play” makes no sense. There absolutely must be a planned and ORGANISED approach to this that unites all our fans and hell, even fans of other teams. The Glazers will be rubbing their hands looking at these guys thinking “is that it?”
It is pretty difficult to gain access to Carrington from what I have heard and the fact these few managed to get the Media eyes on us too with the message is just the start hopefully we will see Mass Protests outside Old Trafford this Saturday with majority media coverage.

Media exposure is great and if this grows then eve better, but protests against owners don't often do much. But sponsors are a different matter, if people started targetting Teamview [is that correct?] and they started receiving bad press along with other big sponsors then you can have a much bigger impact.

yeah, I've heard 18 lads are gonna be there at the weekend.
If you've got no intention of being there maybe you shouldn't make fun of the few actually trying something more than snide remarks on an internet forum. Unlike you I hope there'll be a few thousand singing about bonfires and Glazers stealing football. The sponsors will not like it one bit.

What, so you're going to 'stand behind our club, managers and players', presumably actually sitting behind your PC, and dismiss any fans who actually care enough about the club to protest about the owners and make it clear they want them out? You might be able to forgive and forget so quickly, but don't disparage others for trying to get off their arses and doing something. You're dismissive of people power, but it brought down the ESL in a couple of days. Go and shill for the Glazers in another thread.

Theres a way of doing peaceful protests and disrupting the players a couple of days before a massive game is certainly not it. Trespassing and potentially falling foul of the law isnt it either.

Effort involved aside (we decide when you play on a bedsheet is laughable) they are getting media traction and its a small step.

Interesting choice of people to talk to them although I guess it depends what bubbles the players were in. I have visions of Ole/Carrick and Fletcher reasoning with them and then Matic comes along to simply tell them leave and they scatter.

The sponsors gave absolutely zero shits last time, in fact they just kept giving us more and more money. Why on earth do you think it would be different this time?

What the protests fail to understand and did back during Green & Gold is that the Glazers will not just give away the club, they need to sell the club in order to leave. We’ve seen lots of different kind of owners that wanted to join the super league. Oligarchs, oil states, plcs, socios.
So why is a new owner suddenly better?
What is the end game for being there and protesting to the Glazers?
If they sell to the Saudis is that somehow a fecking victory?

If I can get back to the UK and there was a big protest arranged in London I absolutely would be there, no fecking question about it. Because that’s where real reform can happen, protesting at Parliament and at the FA headquarters.

Good god there are some absolute wet wipes on here.

Disrupting the players!?

There was 20 blokes making a peaceful protest about the football club being dragged through the mud. Get a grip.

Yep. That would help. Along with putting pressure on the government.

Behind your back? This whole ESL fiasco was to send a clear message to UEFA that the top clubs can rally and create their own CL. without UEFA taking hold of all of the money, if you don't know what the rules were I suggest you read more carefully.

"The proposal involves the clubs forming their own competition to rival the UEFA Champions League."

Nobody said anything about breaking away from the PL/FA.CUP/LEAGUE CUP, it was an alternative to the CL. And yet all of a sudden, UEFA decides this week to implement changes to the CL competition, funny isnt it?

Not sure if you're serious but this is headline news on all papers today and continues the momentum against the Glazers. This is only good, unless you support the Glazers.

Even if he had said it, managers are in a really difficult situation with this. Didn't SAF call the Glazers "marvellous owners" and "great" for the club during the green and gold protests.

It's a very fine line for managers to walk when facing fans on one side and owners on the other. I think you could forgive pretty much anything he might say.
Agreed. Ole is there to do a job and he wants this squad to succeed. It's not his place to get involved in fan protests.

I cannot believe some fans. Protesting against the owners and all that some fans can see is Ole out.

Get a grip, can you park your thoughts about the manager to the side ?

I'll be at Old Trafford on Saturday for the protest.

Not quite as keen on the trespassing and confrontational nature of today's gathering. But their hearts were in the right place, so I won't criticise them for it.

Fair play to them, every little bit helps.

On a side note I wonder if Matic is going to become part of the coaching staff.

Yeah that on Saturday isn't a protest, it's a "fan cam" opportunity basically to create content whilst doing feck all. I'd be amazed if any match going red is there.
So match-going reds are not really what they're made out to be after all? Making fun of and belittling other supporters is exactly what the Glazers want, I know they'd prefer that to a unified front of thousands.

Nobody is dismissing any action of the fans, but to disrupt the training process to relay a message is unnecessary. The fans did the necessary to bring down ESL as you said, so I think this should be enough for now. The games we have are way more important, playing in the CL next year is more important, winning a trophy this year is more important, this will affect how we shape up for next season, the ESL is not going through but all the competitions are still there and once we guarantee we have a place in those competitions we can rally and protest as much as you want, but it would be criminal from our side as fans to pressure the players and cause a rift now between players/managers/owners when the players have been working their socks off for Ole this year, this is why I am against these protests as they affect first and foremost the players, the Glazers are sitting behind their desks probably in the states or somewhere, our aim should be pointed at them not where the players are training.

like this you mean which they and the sponsors gave a grand total of zero shits about?

The FA headquarters and Parliament is where we should be directing our protests.

Spurs Fans who we often laugh at made a better effort. Proper signage made and more professional looking. Ours was an embarrassment in comparison, hopefully will be better on Saturday.
I posted though because, why annoy the players with this and distract them from their work. They had no part in the whole ESL fiasco and even played a big part in getting it stopped. Why protest at their training ground and set us up for a bad result on Sunday. Idiots!
Target the Glazers and the Glazers only!

Nice to see Jose not going out with a whimper and bringing in Roden for back up in the first photo.

You really have no clue about of football is organised do you? The term "soccer" is widely ridiculed, but is actually a shortening of "association football". It's called that because ALL football is organised in associations, on national (The FA), regional (UEFA) and global (FIFA) level. By the rules, which are decided by representatives of all the national associations, nobody can start their own tournaments without permission from the associations. The concequence of doing that? You're expelled from the associations.

Even though corruption exists in football, it's actually a democracy. And without the associations, we would for instance not have the same rules all over the world.

As I've replied many times, I don't necessarily agree with that stance but there is a reason none of the supporters groups are behind it. And other things are in the works from those. It's about targeting the correct moments - playing devils advocate here but are you better to protest on a random Saturday non-matchday or on the day Liverpool come to Old Trafford for example?

While I do agree with you, dark emperor, I think sustained pressure is also needed. Even small protests like today helps in that regard.

Nice small protest to start, just to let everyone know this is forgotten,
Hopefully something bigger planned for the next home game, long as the banners are all against the Glazers I'm all for it,
