While I'm generally more on your end of the spectrum when it comes to Pogba, your argument in this reply really doesn't hold water. Not big game player?

He has been a very important scorer/assist maker for us.
I'll give you Roma. But you've also missed other assists he made in the PL. In general, I agree that his contributions against Big 6 teams has been lacking but that's not what a "big game player" is (at least not for me).
He could break his leg, tear his ACL by then. It's all risk-reward.

I think it would work nicely for PSG and Pogba.
Pogba would get more money, would have less stressful league matches which would help him use more energy in the CL matches.
PSG would really look a decent team too with Forward line (Mbappe,Neymar, Di Maria) , Midfield ( Wijnaldum,Veratti,pogba). Pogba will be able to play in the attacking areas and could ignore defensive duties.
I think Bruno coming in and taking the AMC role completely is probably the final straw for pogba at ManUtd.

No chance the way he's been playing for us. I've never called him this, but there's a reason some here called him Jogba.
His not going to PSG. Full stop. In 2018 he even stated his mother is Marseille fan and PSG wasn't really an option which lead to this banner been put up by PSG fans. 3 years in football is a long time, sure, but things like this don't just magically disappear.
I fully expect Pogba to be with us for this season. Only question will be whether he runs down his contract or renews it.
With that, I'd much prefer he renews, but I suspect he knows that will further hamper any possibility of a transfer elsewhere. Worst case, Real get him on a free next year.
Best case, he sees out the start of the season, it goes well and he renews and finally delivers to the potential he was expected to bring when he came back. Fantasy, but hey, everyone else is smoking stuff, may as well join in.

I don't think you should call other posters that way. And no, because it's true that his work rate is quite meh.
Our most dynamic midfield combo during Solskjaer's reign has been a triumvirate of Bruno, Pogba and Matic. I think Fred could offer that as well alongside Pogba and Bruno.
McTominay is anything but dynamic, he plays effectively only one way and that's off the ball, he can't pass between the lines to save his life, something Pogba pulls off with ease. I really think some people here have amnesia when it comes to what Pogba has given to this club and what he's capable of.
If the rumors of Solskjaer's willingless to switch to a 4-3-3 are true one of Fred or McTominay could play less this season. It will certainly mean they both won't play together much anyway.

Pogba is going to stay this season and sign a new contract with us at the end of it. We are going to pay ravioli bank for keeping Pogba here and bringing halaand in. We are assembling a mighty force in the football world and we pay top dollar.

It's an insult to Scholes really, they're not in the same class. Compare Scholes last proper season when he was at the end to Pogba last season. His stats are very competitive to Pogba's with 70% of the games. Everyone agreed Scholes was coming to the end and not what he was that season,
Pogba is ahead in quite a few but when you take into account the difference in the amount of games, an old, fading Scholes was better on a per match basis in loads of things from successful tackles, pass completion, more passes, more big chances created per game, more through balls and dispossessed far less.

I couldn't care less what Pogba is capable off if he doesn't show it regularly on the pitch. He is a good player but it's not in his nature to play quick passing football, it's not even an attack, it's describing his style. Weird it fires up so many emotions in you. McTominay and Fred make simple and quick passes which is more effective for our style.
Regarding the dig about amnesia, I'd say some fans watch Pogba compilations and think that's how he plays for 90'.

He's not a David Silva type who conducts the play
He's not box to box
He's not very defensive orientated
He's not creative, even if you take away goals and assists which rely on the forwards to their job, he's not creating chances
So what is he?
You can simply look at the stats of De Bruyne, Kante, Mount, Silva, Verrati etc without even seeing them play and you could figure out if they're more defensive or offensive orientated and they all have stats where they're clearly outstanding against their peers.
The most spectacular stat Pogba has is the amount of times he gets dispossed. He's losing the ball 40% more than De Bruyne, an actual creative player whose stats clearly show it. But De Bruyne atleast produces the quality going forwards that you can make allowances if he gives the ball away now and again.
He had his chance as an AM and Bruno ended up being superior. And he's clearly not a CM that works for us.

You mean when he was the only player outside the top 2 in the team season? And are we just pretending he wasn't excellent until he got injured last season? It's incredible how often his good performances are ignored.
I don't think anyone is saying that on his day he can't be brilliant. He got 26 appearences last season and 16 the season before in the league. He didn't exactly look himself for France either at the Euro's from what I saw of their matches. If this is a player we were looking to buy and put on those kind of wages for that length of contract I think everyone would hit the roof. If he has another average season there is no chance we're going to be able to shift him if he signs a bumper contract because that's then 3 seasons of inconsistency, overall being bang average and injuries. And then there is the entire circus that comes with him. He's not helped himself in the slightest.

Rashford gets pelters on here about last season's form and he ended with 32 goal involvements. Pogba only got 12 despite playing further forward an awful lot after Christmas.
Paul Pogba wasn't close to excellent last season. He's was distinctly average.
He was spectacular for France. Could have had a ton of assists if Mbappe had his shooting boots.
Probably remembers only the last 5 min of the game against Swiss.
If only there was some kind of thread where people shared their views on a player. Maybe something like a player performance thread where we could check to see what people were saying about him prior to his injury?

I mean France were awful. He's already the 6th highest paid player in the world according to Forbes before any new contract and he was rated the 15th best midfielder in the tournament which consists of players from one continent. His demands are no way backed by his performances.

No, that's all they'll say. When he gets in the team of the season, it's because he had a couple of good games towards the end of the season. When he was unplayable last season, it was because he was trying to attract attention in the transfer market. His good performances are constantly downplayed, while his poorer performances are blown wildly out of proportion.
We aren't buying him. Conversely, if he was a player we could sign for free then we'd be falling over ourselves to bring him in. Stop judging him on his transfer fee. It has zero effect on his actual performances.
And are you serious? He was excellent for France.
