Pogba

Pogba 325k, Cavani 250k, Martial 250k, Lingard 100k, Mata 100k, Matic 120k, Jones 90k.

Hell of a lot of money right there who could and should all be gone by start of next season.

This club has been an absolute shambles in the transfer market for far too long. We need to start unearthing gems again and going for exciting young players and stop paying these obscene wages.

agree with all of that except Cavani....i think Cavani and Ronaldo would be damn good up top together

Who is in for Pogba and his wages anyway ?
Sounds like Juve, PSG, Barca in that order. He can sign a pre-contract in January so we'll probably hear some noises soon. Personally i dont care. I'd be disapointed if we renewed with him which seems bizarre considering how excited i was about signing him. Too many injuries, too much bad form, too much negativity from his agent.

I was really excited when he re-signed but now I simply don't care. He is a world class player on his day but for whatever reasons it just didn't work out. It is quite obvious that he is running down his contract.
My biggest fear now his heart is not in here anymore but because nobody else can afford or wants him, we end up with a un-motivated player with a high wage bill. I hope he gets his move and we can find better use of the money.

Is Cavani really on that much? Jesus what a waste of money if he’s on anything like that figure.

The draw will be his commercial value. He'll sell alot of shirts regardless. People remember the world Cup and the dabbing. If Rangnick thinks the utd board are impervious to this factor and will allow him to leave on the cheap, then he might be disappointed.

Barcelona and Xavi don't want Pogba. There are already enough young midfielders better than him.
Very high salary, signing bonus, big agent fee. And all for a player who a horrible decision making, lazy, And all for a player with horrible decision-making, lazy, tactically a disaster...

Man Utd- ‘Do you want to play for Manchester United?’

Man Utd- ‘Goodbye Paul & Mr Toad’.

End of contract talks.

Pogba has played his last game for Utd, according to the BBC transfer gossip section.
If only it was true.

You could feed 10,000 kids each and every week, for the money we’re paying him.

I always found those radical comments weird. Do you not negotiate your salary at your workplace?
I don't think that he should extent his contract by the way, but the logic seems baffling to me.

It bothers me that there’s no indication that Newcastle will even attempt to get him. Bothers me in the sense that Newcastle know what they’re doing with their money.

Or they know not to bother because Pogba and Raiola will never entertain the idea of playing in the Championship, you know, Occam’s Razor and all that.

I personally think we also need to stop offering 22/23 year olds £200k-£300k in wages as well, it's stupid, unsustainable and I think it plays a big part in loss of motivation.

I think this new regime post Woodward will be looking at that We tried the 'galactico' approach and it didn't work. RR favours young up and coming and make them superstars and won't need to pay massive wages.

Absolutely correct. Imagine owning a business and paying £5m per month from your account in wages to a group of staff who were either constantly on long term sick, or who worked on a sales team and never sold. You’d lose your mind.

And several of our past silly contracts have been based on purple patches which last for a 6 to 9 months at most.

I think it's time to have our own version of bonfire night. Effigies of Mino Raiola to be used in place of the traditional Fawkes

That fat faced pasta chewing parasite deserves his own hell

We live in a time where there is no news out of Old Trafford.

Therefore every news outlet either reports on unfounded rumours that don't stand up under scrutiny or quotes other organs that report as such.

And the others who report that United "should" or "could" buy or sell someone because blah blah blah.

We know a few things about Rangnick:

He likes to buy younger players who can play the high tempo style he wants to implement

He wants to retain players who have the huge desire to play for United

Reading articles this time of year is largely a waste of time and pixels

I think the correct thing will be: Here the amount of wages and agent fees we are willing to give. If they reject or want more then that’s where we say goodbye means we don’t need to put any effort to convince them. Although, this scenario only applies if Rangnick thinks Pogba can be an important player in his system.

I really hope we can get him out in January and a small fee.

Says a lot about his time here, when he says his best moment at United was the day he came back.

Pity he didn't do anything of note since that day in a Red Shirt.

Is Cavani really on that much? Jesus what a waste of money if he’s on anything like that figure.

We didn't pay a transfer fee for him and he was arguably our best player for a good chunk of last season, to the point we'd have been completely screwed without him. He's the only one in that list that doesn't look absurd to me.

Hardest working of the lot by a long way and most useful of the lot by an even longer one, and aside from Lingard also the one we'll lose out the least on financially.

Everyone else on that list Lingard aside is a prime example of why we're shite. Not that I think lingard is great either but at least he works hard and was already at the club, so didn't involve us forking out a huge fee and propping him up as an example of what our other players should aspire to.

God that shows why we are so far from top-3 teams, Too many players are earning millions without contributing much ( I exclude last year Cavani though)

we can save almost 60M per annum just on salaries by getting rid of these players and also we can add few good signings

Looks like last 9 years transfer mistakes are too costly as i dont think we got many best players after spedning almost 900M.
May be we can exclude Sancho/Varane/Bruno but i dont think others are really worth that money, you guys think AWB/Maguire/Pogba/Fred/Martial/Mata/Matic are really worth their transfer fees?

I am really feeling sad and angry that Ed made so many mistakes and didnt put any football people to made transfer calls and it took 8.5 years to bring in some one like Ralf in some capacity, pity is it was also happened just because we had to sack Ole in middle of the season, God we were really clueless...isnt it ?

Eh? Absolute nonsense. He’s a CF who scored three league goals before January and three more from January to April. He had a good end to the season, then we begged him to stay so much that we agreed to give him an extended summer holiday, which he thanked us for by asking to play most of the start of the season in Uruguay and has since been injured with a slight strain for months while rumour persists of a move to Barca.

Good job we didn’t pay a fee for him, we’d have been fleeced. Still have been at this point. He doesn’t want to be here and would rather play anywhere but by the sounds of it.

Hardest worker, have you got stats to back that up?

He’s done nothing and clearly does not put the club first like other players who actually returned from pre season early to help us out.

I really feel people need to differentiate between…’he runs about a lot I like it’ and actual contribution, like a great first touch and link play, not missing sitters at crucial times….scoring regularly etc. In addition people certainly need to differentiate between ‘he runs about a lot I like it’ and somehow that equating to ‘he can do whatever he likes off the pitch’
