Pogba

why are we even still talking about this guy....he isn't signing a new contract so sell his sorry ass along wiht his fellow frenchman Martial
Why not get even a little money for him in January? Impossible given his wages? I truly do not understand the point of him staying. Sometimes I forget he's still at the club.
Sell him next month. Get some money out of him.

Noone's desperate enough to pay money in Jan when they can get him for free in the summer.

Yeah sorry, but you keep posting the same thing. I find your preoccupation with me bizarre if I’m honest. So I’d rather not get involved.
I wouldn’t flatter yourself - like I said, it’s just mind boggling to see you persistently having a go at Cavani. Disturbing even…

Thats 1.2 mil per we
Pogba 325k, Cavani 250k, Martial 250k, Lingard 100k, Mata 100k, Matic 120k, Jones 90k.

Hell of a lot of money right there who could and should all be gone by start of next season.

This club has been an absolute shambles in the transfer market for far too long. We need to start unearthing gems again and going for exciting young players and stop paying these obscene wages.
Thats 1.2M per week. 5 million per month. Within a year we can afford to get 60mil valued player easily. What. The. Feck.

Thing that rubs me the wrong way on Pogba is he's so intent on leaving for free or bilking us for every last cent...despite the fact that we paid $25m agent fee when we bought him. That agent fee essentially goes to the player via the agent and inspite of such low over his time here and despite his high wages he has no qualms trying to leave on a free.
The player openly said he wanted to leave in 2019 and was not sold. We only have ourselves to blame for overpricing him.

What is he supposed to do if he wants to leave? Sign a new contract? He is fully right to leave on a free if we don't want to sell him.

The fact that no club seems to be desperate for him tells a story. Means that he is a good player but not one that can make or break the team.

But that’s just about your feelings for Cavani….which I could find disturbing if I didn’t understand that people have different opinions, perspectives, likes and dislikes hence I asked people why they felt so strongly to get some perspective

Or that they simply wait for him to be available for free. He will have suitors without a doubt. It may not have worked the way we wanted but Pogba is still a player who will interest clubs.
Why would they have been desperate in the summer or now ?

It's as simple. There is a process for players to leave and without the club's approval, it just ain't gonna happen. If we are in this situation, the club is the main responsible party

How do you know what we have priced him at? Maybe other clubs are just not that interested.

They can and should. But all the talks about him leaving was mostly about returning to Juve and going to PSG. With occassional Madrid rumors. If PSG wanted, they could have brought him in, it makes a lot of sense since he is also a star figure in France. But alas he is a midfielder, not someone like Messi that you bring in a hope that he will win the club CL (although its not working so far). All in all while he is a very good player, his position and situation is not ideal for someone whose agent keeps spouting bullshit about his current club on the media when the other clubs would rather just wait. Nobody took his bait. A bit rich for Raiola to have acted the way he did. The way he did it you would think Pogba is a prime Ronaldo.

or that they can sign him for free in a few months and makes no sense to buy him? It also makes no sense for him to move in Jan since he’ll get a bumper wage and signing on bonus by moving for free

How many clubs in the world can afford his wages? Us, PSG and maybe Real? I am assuming he is not joining City or Chelsea.

Well if it's expected multiple clubs will be interested, it's better to secure him now rather than risk him in a wage battle.

I don't think there is going to be much expected interest.

Doesn't even make sense chances are any Club which might be willing to pay transfer fee on six month contract would most certainly be best placed to win any wage battle for the same player .

It would be a tiny transfer fee.

Pogba is free to sign with any club when he has 6 months left in the contract. He can join a dance club or NBA club. There is no cash transfer. It's a free transfer. The new club can increase his wages or bonus to entice him to join.

Pogba isn't really that wanted by top clubs as much as his fans, his agent and himself think him. These United years have hurt his reputation a lot. He was the hottest thing on the market when he was at Juve and when we signed him. 6 years later he's not the same player and he doesn't have the same reputation anymore. The fact that no one have approached him with a good enough fee these last few years and he's been waiting for 2 years now or so till his contract runs down says a lot about how other clubs value him in the market.

No one has been willing to risk paying a lot of money for him again watching his United career unfold this way.

Please do explain.

Players will be able to openly negotiate with whoever they want in 5 days and if there is a potential wage battle then it's not in the player interest to sign with someone before it starts.

People thinking Pogba doesn’t have suitors is nothing but copium. Him and his agent seem quite comfortable with whatever it is they’re doing.

Yes but it would be in the club's advantage to at least try though, but no offers made.

Any clubs interested in signing him on a free are not going to announce their intentions through the media.

You have no idea about whether offers have been made or not, agents are in constant contacts with clubs executives and they don't share every attempts or talks with the public.

You think these clubs are just sitting twiddling their fingers? They would have spoken to Pogba/Mino and worked out the financials.

I guess Lewandowski didn’t have any suitors when he moved to Bayern on a free, because he moved to Bayern on a free :wenger:

He signed a signed a pre-contract agreement which only proves my point.

Also he started on way lower wages than what Pogba wants, or what he gets here.

Those who believe that Pogba will make less money, when he becomes a free agent, are deluded. I am sure there will be clubs willing to pay him big wages and a decent signing on fee. Nevertheless, I doubt Ralf is eager to keep Paul at the club and I am ready to back his decision. I doubt that Paul is suited for Rangnick's style of play anyway. A win-win for both parties. No offence meant, no offence taken.

what the hell are you even saying? Pogba will only be able to sign said pre-agreement in/from January. Do you even know what you’re talking about?

I just wasted a bunch of mouse clicks and keyboard strokes with this exchange

How does that prove your point? He signed a pre-contract after he was legally allowed.

Raiola has his tactics, from a fan's POV they are fecking annoying to say the least but his clients seem to be loving him as he makes them richer and play for high profile clubs. I for one hope for a conclusion soon, as a fanbase, we need to get over this Pogba+Raoila thing and avoid any player under the fat cnut

I wonder how many years this forum will still go on about Pogba after he finally fecks off

we're still going on about Smalling so quite a few I should imagine

I dont get it, people cant stand him, cant wait for him to leave, now the way how he is gonna leave is another reason to throw some hate. First they were hiding their hatred for him, behind Raiola, while not being against us getting Haaland, which is next level. Expecations from here are mental, from day one, funny how such standards were never applied on the whole team and level of football played, it was always buy players and expect them to win you games on their own, with that one moment, while other 10 players poking their nose.

Hope he leaves just to see what player will get all that focus shift.
