It’s barely begun though… the atrocities of war are linked to the disturbed, warped mindset that it creates within people. If this progresses, those atrocities will occur - all world leaders know this whenever war is declared.

Honestly gave me goosebumps watching that interview. I just hope these brave people willing to stand and fight against this tyrant have some kind of guerilla tactic and help from outside. If so, this could turn into a Vietnam for Putin, and he deserves no less.

Putin won't touch NATO. He'll work with the Chinese to grow a stronger counter balance against NATO.

Exactly. China is already helping out and will continue to do so. They will also help Russia technologically that much I am sure of. Rough times ahead for humanity. Our only hope is that leaders of the world's leading states are good humans. If not, we are fecked.

I get for obvious reasons Military options are available

but don’t ration the sanctions, I don’t get what they are waiting for???

A European Country has been invaded by Russia, war is now raging…..what else are we waiting for on the sanctions front?

If Russia step onto NATO soil (obviously won’t happen) then they can’t be holding sanction back for that action because the only action in that case would be all out war……so stop hold back and flipping get all the possible ruthless sanctions out

Most aren't very welcoming to be pushed as canon fodder against the Chinese, to which we traded alot.

We normally gave them a token gesture and send them home without saying anything firm. Normally the SOD would ask us to be "hostile" towards China and supports the US, but alas they left their purse back home.

That is impossible. They are sending large amount of their soldiers, planes and tanks here even without imminent danger of invasion. You reckon they'd all just leave if the war started, and are here just for fun?

If anything the normal bloke on the street like myself and you will want to help more or ex soldiers from around the world. These politicians are only interested in money.

Do you know what gets to me @Random Task all these world leaders have no balls. Sanctions, sanctions thats all you hear. Putin doesnt give a crap about sanctions. He is a power hungry maniac and wont stop here. Did you see Lazarov this morning. Jesus christ the whole world is in danger if we dont stand together

Not much they can do sadly, they're not mean to hold a full fledge invasion, sabotage and recon perhaps.

And if they're captured it's going to be a shitstorm politically for everyone involved. The Russians would have to acknowledge that they indeed captured an SAS team, the British would have to acknowledge they sent in one, and lord knows what comes after. If that's Navy, I would think hard on what happens in the US congress with the situation as it is. Perhaps Biden would be crucified for sending one in the first place.

I might have some over the weekend at my current or other place, though my Ukrainian friends I contacted said their families cannot leave Ukraine anymore as they are between 18-60 and wives do not want to leave their husbands alone. This is fecked up. Will be doing some shopping to provide basic stuff to the shelters later today.

It is basic instinct of course

but there are times where restraint is needed for the bigger good, and that can hurt (obviously nothing on the scale of the Ukrainians current hurt)

No sane person, unless your chopper, likes a bully, no sane person likes seeing death and destruction.
