He'd do well in Serie A and nowhere else.
He's been shit for two seasons now and nobody in their right mind is going to take him on £240k p/w. Absolutely staggering incompetence that led to him commanding such a high wage.
It’s a fair point to be made at the minute and I think it is just that. Our club is poisonous and there are people within it who are poisonous. I think a few of these players get put on pedestals after a few good games. They inexplicably get the big new contract and then have no desire to improve. Surround themselves with yes men, start believing they’re above criticism. What the actual feck is wrong with our players? Does our club just drain them of their will to achieve things in football or do we just turn them into entitled d*ckheads. I heard VDB's attitude was questioned by Lampard too.
I was at the game this evening, he was extremely poor. His body language is also a disgrace, the way he sauntered off around the pitch after getting subbed, its like he dosnt give a toss!

Put half a dozen of these type of players together and this is what you have, a rotten squad and rotten club. Nothing changes.
Doesn’t help either when a manager comes in and tries his best to cut out the shite attitude but then gets moaned at for “holding players back”. Mourinho saw all this shit years ago with these players and we chose the players over him. Ole tried a different approach and it worked for a small time but then they fecked him over too.
I also think United fans have a habit of propelling players far above their ability. Remember this is a fanbase who had sections of it saying United should not sign Haaland because it would hold back Martial. They then said signing Ronaldo would hold back Greenwood and Rashford.
Well, Mourinho himself signed Pogba who has himself been an issue and was deemed a problem by the manager who signed him. And this is the same Mourinho who would have got backed much more if he hadn't replaced Martial/Rashford's place in the 1st team with.... Alexis Sanchez only our worst ever signing. So yeah, we need someone to come in and be THE boss, but that man was not Mourinho. It’s a fair point to be made at the minute and I think it is just that. Anthony Martial (59 ') against Sociedad (0-0) : "A huge lack of intensity. He did not win a single duel and his apathy caused boos in the stands. For the moment, it is a fiasco. 3/10"
They don't have patience in Spain for lazy feckers unlike in England.Booing already? Thought fans were not allowed to boo players?![]()

It feel's a bit like football is getting in the way of their brands, not the other way around anymore. Its weird those two are completely apathetic to football at the moment.
The best part is, we're going to lose Cavani, maybe Ronaldo, and end up with just a sulking Martial and an out of form Rashford. Worrying times. He’s part of our history, the worst part. He actually sums up the current regime. Doesn’t try, doesn’t run, poor attitude. Must be sold in the summer, can’t have him here.

Ole deserves to hold a large portion of the blame for that.I agree, yet still many fans will blame the manager.
He tried to sign Haaland and brought Greenwood into the first team...Ole deserves to hold a large portion of the blame for that.
He opted to bring in Ronaldo and Cavani on expensive, short terms deals. Couple that with Ighalo, where is the forward planning?
They was 20/21. Tell me what young players Jose had put on. This was the guy who told Salah and De Bruyne to dip. Let’s not re-write history. It hasn’t worked but it’s not due to talent.

Someone who are half arsed themselvesConsidering United are so keen to brief how much they do their background checks on players before signing them, they end up with a lot of half-arsed ones. I wonder who is doing those background checks...
Yeah you’re making it about Mourinho. I’m not saying Mourinho was right for us but on that particular front he was. Player power has taken over at United and that’s a problem. I’m not saying we should have kept Mourinho or anything like that just that the message he tried to get across with our younger players was shunted and I think we’re seeing the problems now.
You pay them twice the salaries they deserve to earn and that's exactly whats gonna happen. What the actual feck is wrong with our players? That's a real issue. We pay poor players and good players brilliantly. I doubt there's another club with such a disparity between performance vs wage as at our club. You pay them twice the salaries they deserve to earn and that's exactly whats gonna happen.
I think it's more to do with Haaland wanting to play in Spain and Bellingham wanting to go the route of Sancho. The club on the whole, including the manager, are the reason we didn't land them.He failed to bring in Haaland and Bellingham you mean?
That was on him a different coach would of got them into the squad.

Would love Bellingham here, especially if we could arrange a swap deal that involved MartialYeah agree to disagree but fully get your point. Well it’s how it’s turning out at the end of the day.
Hopefully we land Bellingham on his next move though.

I kind of see what you mean. You can get the vibe that it seems like he does it because he’s good at it (relatively speaking, these days) and it’s his profession, not because he actually wants to be a player. Like that Assou Ekotto quote.Do you think Martial actually enjoys playing football? He doesn't really give that impression at all.
When he was at United, you could pass it off as him being unhappy and/or demoralised. But he seems to be just the same at Sevilla too.
MMM has become RIPNot that long ago we had such high hopes for Greenwood, Martial and Rashford. What a shame it's been all around
Shhh next people here will call you out for abusing our player. All of them need their balls to be fondled like a pearlDamn. No surprise though
