I, kind of, agree with him on that. There's only so much you can do with a renovation.
I kind of get the argument for a new stadium but I've got not confidence that it would be anything other than really shite and within a year we would all want Old Trafford back.

I don't really care how things are going. It's a scourge. Does it make him a cnut for suggesting it? If he's suggesting giving away naming rights he's sailing close to the wind anyway.

Where's the money going to come from? The owners aren't going to pay for it, and we don't have the capital to simply drop £1billion on a new stadium.
I find the idea a little uncomfortable, but I do feel a new modern ground for us has been long overdue, and unfortunately sponsorship may be our only means for financing it.
Ten Hag is in for a hard time from Neville if he gets the gig. Already Neville is teeing up the idea that we’re interested in him because we ‘blow with the wind’. It’s a convenient narrative to take if you’re interested in punching down if and when results don’t immediately go his way.

I’m critical of him as much as anyone but he is right on the stadium part. He knows renovation won’t do much and as hard as it is to even contemplate the thought of leaving old Trafford, the sad reality is it has to be replaced by new stadium at some point. He mentions that leaving the cliff was very painful for him and other players when we shifted to carrington and I understand why. Leaving old Trafford would be the same and it will be emotional and painful but it would be right decision for us.

The stark difference in his criticism when his mate is in charge vs now makes it hard to take him seriously. He could make an excellent point that I would actually agree but its at that point I don't want him to be right.

Spent 50 minutes yearning for Rashford. Did he say anything about how he played when he came on?
His intentional ignorance feigning over why Rashford doesn’t start drives me up the fecking wall. That’s City and today when he has come on and made us worse but I can’t wait until next week when Neville will pretend to wonder why he doesn’t start.
