I agree but think it's cos he realised the public are fecking morons. Rather than throw too many things out there, stick to a couple points and hope they land - it's exactly how the Conservatives keep winning and how Brexit happened. Just say 2/3 things again and again
What else can he say ffs. People say he is boring - politicians should be boring. Hate that it dominates the news cycle like ugly reality TV.Just listening to Starmer on the BBC. I long for him to be good, I really do. The country needs a change of government.
Sadly he’s just sat repeating himself on and on. Same phrases recycled. Like a parrot.
Why!
That Starmer piece was really weird. I had to check the tv a couple of times to make sure it wasn’t a glitch, felt like I was having deja vu.
Chances BJ charged with treason regarding Lebedev? Icing on the cake.
1000/1
Chances the rules are changed or a deal is struck before he’s out of office ? 1/1000

He's been calling for A GE literally every day this week.It was borderline awkward and came across he literally had nothing else to say. Recycling the same thing time and time again.
It’s positive they’ll opt for a vote of no confidence but I’m surprised he didn’t specifically call for a GE at the soonest opportunity in the same way Ed Davy did moments earlier.
Just a man reading a script. So uninspiring.
What time is the announcement?

Love how he is apparently tweaking his resignation letter - he's going to hold up in there.

Cos he was asked similar questions. People do all too easily look for things to critisize him over...

Oh his points were fine but don’t keep repeating them to each question like a parrot.
It was uncomfortable watching him and gave the impression he had nothing else to say.
Is it too much to ask for a leader to be themselves rather than be that scared of making a mistake they must remain rigid and robotic to a few catchy phrases?
Hes obviously better than BJ and having the Conservatives in but it would be nice to have a leader who is capable of speaking off the cuff well. He’s decent in the PMQs when he has time to think of stuff but we have had a bad run of politicians who aren’t capable of speaking about stuff when they’re under pressure to think it up on the spot.

It did work for Albo in Australia to get our Tories out.
I just fear he still lacks enough charisma and is too much like a block of wood to attract the casual voter.
Possibly you’re right though and it is an interesting take he may have deliberately changed his approach to parrot a few key messages.
I just want him to be comfortable in his own skin and not to appear like a robot.

It would be nice. Personally I'd accept shit over what we have now, it would be a huge improvement, so I'm not wasting time/breath looking for pefection. Starmer is good enough, without doubt.
I am watching T May and she is speaking some sense, more than she did has PM.
