Snap election upcomming or will the tories try to ride this as long as possible?
Why are people like this allowed any platform?
Isn't this the guy who used to do showbiz gossip on This Morning?
not even, he was on Lorraine.

He was the guy who used to write nasty stuff about Caroline Flack.
You what love?
The scary thing about this is that while Boris is done for. He’s not the worse of the bunch, and amongst the worse & most corrupt will likely be a future PM.
Boris is mostly in trouble for doing something we find very commendable. He “backed his boys/gals” He constantly does this, even when for his and his PR it would have been best and justified to reprimand or fire certain individuals. Things that come to mind, I’m sure there are more, Priti bullying, Rishi & wife corruption, Cummings trip… and even these latest things are him trying to protect people he considers “his people” .
I’m not saying it’s right or even smart when in his position. But I admire it. I also feel bad for him because amongst those that betrayed him are some he personally protected when he could have destroyed eg Rishi and Priti . But I feel worse for the U.K. because it feels like a win, but really it’s not. It’s like a neighbourhood feeling safe because a pushy sales man is gone, not realising it was burglars and killers that got rid of him.

apart from tory mps briefing that they are even more pissed with him for not taking responsibility for his predicament and casting aspersions on their herd mentality.... hell be gone for good soon enough i think. It think it was a dignified speech in the sense that he did not let emotions get the better of him. There were a few allusions to 'herd mentality' but he didn't really linger on them that much but said just enough to give an insight into what may have happened behind the scenes. He could have cast aspersions more directly and that would have tipped the balance. He steered clear of that instead of bowing to ego and going after individuals.
He has just lost his job, the biggest one of all, and he has faced the media and managed to sound reasonably upbeat and positive about the country's future, despite having a clear mandate to govern from the British people.
I am not here to defend what has been levelled at him but looking solely at the speech in isloation, it was a reasonable and fair way of bowing out.
You admire Boris Johnson for defending someone he knew was a sexual predator? The scary thing about this is that while Boris is done for. He’s not the worse of the bunch, and amongst the worse & most corrupt will likely be a future PM.

As I said, I don't think Beth Rigby is wrong to say it was 'dignified'. The speech itself was about as good as it could have been under the circumstances. He had to say something to the nation and he chose his words more or less judiciously.
It was a decent resignation speech and it struck more or less the right tone; but now it is time to move on.
Is nobody concerned that he didn’t actually resign?
He’ll want to limp along until recess, get to Chequers, party his dick off, let his media mates invent some shit about a coup, pray every night that the war gets worse, hope a vote of no confidence is tabled, survive it, and start this whole shit show over again.
If they lose momentum, his will will outlast all of ours. The man has no depths to his depravity. No conscience. He’ll still be there at Christmas.
Yeah that's right, just read he's on GB News as well. Never knew he was such a Twat.

Who told you that? Despicable man.Raab is useless but better than Boris so agree with Major.
like his compatriot across the pond
To resign, doesn't he have to go and see the Queen??
