You're apparently so obsessed with Henderson that you don't even read what I write. I don't rate Henderson particularly high.
Can someone provide a summary of his performance in a semi-objective manner?

He gave an interview in which he was absolutely correct that he should have played last season. I don’t see a single thing wrong with that. You see far worse opinions on here every day and yet some of here can’t stand it when one of the players gives it back, it’s bizarre. He’s a good character.
Most top players are cocky. He has every right to think he should play over De Gea whos crap.

He can think whatever he wants. Maybe it helps him. Fergie once wrote Sealey wasn't better than Leighton, but still thought he was, and it made a difference.
Goalkeepers need that confidence or they might struggle to perform, being the last line of defence and the one player whose mistake will probably result in a goal.
DDG was a better keeper. The key word is was. He’s one of the worst in the division now and has been for 4 seasons. Henderson has proven himself better at both Utd and elsewhere.

Not really. The only people moaning are the hypocritical fans of De Gea from what I can see. They will big up any mistake Hendo makes whilst downplaying errors that de Gea has done for the best part of half a decade. De Gea is a relic and while I don’t think Hendo is the long term answer, he’s a hell of a better short term solution than what we have currently.

Our team looked so much more solid with Hendo in goal. This was backed up by less goals conceded, less chances, more aerial claims etc. He did make mistakes but De Gea does this anyway. Was miles better than De Gea and if not for Covid would have started the season rightly as first choice. De Gea is a truly awful keeper these days.When was that?

He's either a complete knob and terrible keeper not fit to lace De Gea's boots, or he's an ambitious professional who is indisputably better than De Gea.
There is no middle ground or objectivity. You have to pick one side and argue your opinion as vehemently as possible.
Henderson has made numerous shambolic errors in a United shirt. I dread to think what would happen if we played him for 20 games straight.

The saves at 0:46 (Newcastle), 2:05 (Villareal), 3:00 (Foden), 3:52 (Arsenal catch), 4:02 (West Ham), 4:37 (?), 5:05 (Leicester), 5:20 (?), 6:22, 6:30, 8:16 (Southampton) were great. The Brighton save at 0:33 and the 2:35 Wolves double save are otherworldly. I think the 4:56 and 5:52 saves are a good example of something a decently-in-form de Gea does which is under-rated: preventing rebounds. Plus two penalties, Henderson's claim to fame! And there are a bunch of routine long-range shots and some 1v1s that Henderson would struggle with. There's a reason DDG was players' POTY.
Is his kicking and sweeping terrible, laughable? Yes, as the cringe "highlights" in the video show. And yes, his form deteriorated as the team collapsed later in the season. But Henderson isn't that much better on the ball, and his shot-stopping is nowhere near. Already this season, some of the City goals in the 6-0 were poor, and the Kane shot that rolled past him was mystifyingly bad. Today, Billing's shot was quite central, and a routine save for any PL keeper including de Gea (there are dozens of them in the video). He was never going to displace last season's DDG while himself having a nasty Covid bout during DDG's best months.

He’s in the lowest percentile for nearly every stat. Even his shot stopping is well below par. That fits the eye test. He’s given away points on a regular basis through howlers and that’s all whilst being one of the worst in the league at coming out his box and passing. It isn’t rocket science but for some reason there’s a portion of fans that just ignore the constant errors.
I mean he literally spoke facts? What did he say that was wrong? He’s a better keeper currently than De Gea, why shouldn’t he feel annoyed sitting on the bench all year?

It’s kinda strange to see people be so abusive of a club legend who has been so amazing for us for over a decade in favour of a player who has openly been critical of the club and proven very little.
