Premier League Gameweek 20-21

Two shocking decisions in the space of a minute. Clear foul on Traore not given then clear pen not given even after going to VAR. Incompetence or corruption?

Perhaps VAR ruled earlier midfield situation a foul on a Wolves player? (If they can do that, no idea.) Grealish situation was a clear pen.

This KdB>Haaland combo gets less and less exciting. It's obviously efficent but boy unless a player is on fire like Mahrez in the last game, City is so boring.

City just two points behind Arsenal as things stand. Also two games ahead, but surely it puts a bit of pressure on Arsenal ahead of our game later? Maybe just wishful thinking.

Grealish always falls down like he’s been shot even when it’s just a minor touch.

It's irrelevant to that one though. Your man caught him in the back of the leg and got none of the ball.

Its a blatant penalty and if VAR isn't giving them like the way they didn't give our last week it jus show how shit VAR is

He booted the back of his leg ffs  Referees man...Clearly influenced by not giving the foul in the build up for Wolves

So you imply the ref was bought by both teams?

Get a grip and stop throwing the c word every time a ref takes a couple of questonnable decisions.

City haven’t even got out of first gear and wolves are clinging on for dear life.

VAR is getting worse every week.

They now seem to refuse to overturn decisions.

Making it completely pointless.

Folks, I keep trying to tell you all that the referees have come to an agreement that they will not overrule an on field penalty decision related to a foul unless it is so wrong there is zero doubt.

I've been saying this for ages. Notice how they never go against what the referee already gave. He gives a really soft one they never overturn it. He doesn't give an identical soft one, they agree no penalty.

In my opinion they are giving the impression decisions are getting reviewed but in reality the outcome is already known. It will be the on field decision

Well that renders VAR pointless.

At the end of the day that's a foul on Grealish.

And at the end of the day that was a foul on McTominay against Palace

For good reason, the refs have bonuses linked to how many correct decisions they have. The system is flawed, there is no incentive for them to admit when they're wrong

At least it takes away the assumption around here that the referee in our game with Palace was trying to 'even it out' by not awarding the McTominay pen after the derby debacle.

These lot are so incompetent we'd be giving them too much credibility to think they could hatch a d execute such plan. Refereeing in this country is in the shitter, from VAR to not punishing time wasting, everything is a friggin mess.

Anyone watching the Bein Sports coverage with Andy Gray and Richard Keys?

The most amateurish broadcast I’ve seen, like a couple of guys casually chatting in a retirement home. Absolute crap.

They talking about hanging out the back of someone yet?

Yes City are good but how an earth teams in the PL just go to Etihad with the mindset of just not losing badly, with almost zero intent on attacking? City coast through most games, barely exerting themselves and hence can keep their level.of physicality for the whole season.

Only the likes of Brighton and Brentford have a go. Even Newcastle go to all the big teams with the attitude of not losing.
