Premier League Gameweek 20-21

The Leeds match is awful.

For all the talk of the PL being the best league and pulling ahead, the standard is so low at times.

Because they have infinite money. They can keep taking punts. They spend so much on their facilities, academy and buying other clubs which doesn't even feature in FFP.
You don't need infinite money to take cheap punts ffs. That's the point of cheap punts.

They spent less on Alvarez and Perrone than what we spent on Pellistri and Amad for example. It's about focusing on the right players and markets.

These the same c***s that defended for their life like they 2006 Italy when they played us?

Well yeah, they're the same team. Unfortunately City and Utd aren't the same team an I suspect Wolves success in defending may have been more a factor of Utd offering less threat.

citeh winning comfortably. gooners might shite themselves today with how citeh came back against spurs and finished wolves off with ease..

So you imply the ref was bought by both teams?

Get a grip and stop throwing the c word every time a ref takes a couple of questonnable decisions.

Corruption doesn't have to mean the ref was bought. Not introducing a mic on the ref, no accountability for them or var, no explanations given post match all foster an environment where the sporting integrity can be legitimately questioned.

Halfway through the season and Haaland is at 33 goals in all competitions. To think there are loads of people here who think City is a lesser team with him in the side is ludicrous. When May comes around they will be ready for all the prizes again and then it is luck that decides the outcome.

This guy is 22 at that age Ronaldo was not even scoring 10 goals a season

EDIT: I checked apparently at 22 Cristiano scored 23 goals, decent enough, the season before he barely hit double digits though.
I don't know where this will end with Haaland, it is simply astounding, I can't believe my eyes when I see his stats.

Ronaldo was a winger that could play off either flank. He used to beat people with trickery, cut inside and shoot. Or was able to arrive in the box at the right time. He was also an excellent free kick specialist. In his later seasons for us, he moved more central, and by the time he joined RM he was as a striker, but unlike Haaland, he adapted his game to become a striker, but was still able to play anywhere across the front 3.

When Haaland gets older, or suffers big injuries, loses a yard of pace, will he be able to adapt as well as Ronaldo and change his game to suit his body? I don't think so. What we are currently seeing are his best years, and we won't be talking about him in the same terms when he is 29 or 30.

Comments you see on every single fan forum sadly.

“The ref is clearly favoring [insert team], our team always gets fecked over by the ref! Corruption!”

“This team is only trying against us, their players clearly want [insert team] to win the title. Everyone is against us. Especially the media.”

“Their misfiring overpriced signing is cleary a donkey, ours just needs time to settle.”

“Money something something cheat.”

I’m surely forgetting some, but is is rather tiring to read every week.

What about his goal contributions? Doesn't seem to fair to judge a winger to a striker without taking into account the assists.

Is that moustache legal from Roy Keane ?

I don't know how any of that has anything to do with my post?

This game is a tad better than Liverpool-Chelsea

That goal sums up Martinez, pure heart. Great game, Arsenal probably kicking themselves after dominating 2nd half so far, Rashford playing like CR7 in his wing days.

Really enjoyed this game. I think Arsenal have been the better side but United always look like they can create something. Garnacho would be a good sub for United.

Both sides look like they’ve been coached really well.

Yeah, a very different kind of Arsenal - United fixture than what we've gotten used to over the last 10 years.

Deserved result in the end. United made us fight very hard for it, the cnuts.

Amazed that goal was given, Zinchenko looked a yard off.

Still Arsenal really stepped on the gas for last 20 minutes. They are the best team in the league this season.

Yes be interesting to see a proper view of it. Pretty strange they didn't check it seemingly.

XG 2.68 - 0.39 and 24 shots to 6 can't say it wasn't deserved.

Great game, United were good on the counter but Arsenal were magnificent and pinned them in 2nd half. Clearly the best team in the league right now.

Would love to know the reasoning in not booking AWB when he clattered Saka counter attacking. Not even a case of a second yellow. Just ignored it.

Definitely.

Not sure you're in any position to be moaning about the refereeing considering Taylor gave Arsenal virtually everything else.
