Premier League Gameweek 20-21

VAR is getting worse every week.

They now seem to refuse to overturn decisions.

Making it completely pointless.
Howard Webb has become in charge - and effectively made it null and void.

They DON'T like VAR and want it gone. The want the power with referees again.

Unless it's something so obvious they'd look bad for not giving it, they simply won't.

Quick note away from the Leeds-Brentford action…

I‘m pretty sure that Flamingo Land ad on the hoarding was done in Donkey Kong font

Hope wolves get smashed and relegated. Pointless team and annoying as feck manager

Emery seems to be doing a good job with Villa. Lopetegui is finding it harder. Although as others have said it actually isn't a great idea just sitting back against City.

Already outscoring last seasons PL top scorers and we’re only at halfway.

I’m glad we got our pound of flesh from City the other week. I feel like that the OT game has shocked them into action and for Guardiola to stop fecking about with this ridiculous squad he has at his disposal.

Well his goal drought was ended by Spurs doing their usual and now he’s confident again. Fs

Wolves keeper needs to be fired after that. As close as match fixing as it gets.

Annoys me when Alvarez comes on, he could easily start for any of the other top 4 at the moment.

Halfway through the season and Haaland is at 33 goals in all competitions. To think there are loads of people here who think City is a lesser team with him in the side is ludicrous. When May comes around they will be ready for all the prizes again and then it is luck that decides the outcome.

This guy is 22 at that age Ronaldo was not even scoring 10 goals a season

EDIT: I checked apparently at 22 Cristiano scored 23 goals, decent enough, the season before he barely hit double digits though.
I don't know where this will end with Haaland, it is simply astounding, I can't believe my eyes when I see his stats.

Wolves players expanded more energy there appealing for a penalty than they have in the previous 60 minutes of the match

Well that renders VAR pointless.

At the end of the day that's a foul on Grealish.

And at the end of the day that was a foul on McTominay against Palace

You're right. But they have to have VAR but this way they can just referee the game as they would have done anyway. They still use it effectively for offsides and checking red cards, but subjective incidents in the box they will leave to the referee. Can't belive nobody else has figured it out

Ronaldo wasn't a striker but still Haaland numbers are incredible. It makes absolutely no sense when people say he makes City worse. Absolutely no sense whatsoever

This is what happens when you have infinite money.
Alvarez signing wasn't about money though. He was really cheap around 20M.

I made him a thread before city signed him it was clear he was going to be a class striker and for the fee that River Plate demanded it was a no brainer. We're simply not sharp enough in the South American market. Player like these go by and we don't even look at them.

City just bought Velez midfielder Perrone, another highly rated player for about 8M. That's peanuts, they simply are more proactive than us in the market.

There are indeed plenty of good players all over the globe, the problem is that if you cannot name one on top of your head on these boards, it's like the players don't exist

Because they have infinite money. They can keep taking punts. They spend so much on their facilities, academy and buying other clubs which doesn't even feature in FFP.
