Premier League Gameweek 20-21

They will be hard to catch

City will need to be perfect from here on and they'll also need Arsenal to drop points elsewhere with Anfield and St James' Park looking like the only realistic ones.

Doubt the first part will happen though. Pep's been overthinking this season. It's like he's been so dominant for so long that he's just bored now and taking the piss to see what he can get away with.

Don't see Man. City winning at the Emirates this season unless Arsenal have a really poor defensive performance on the night.

With a potential 9 point lead Man. City going to need more than 4 points from the respective games.

Woot Woot. Deserved winners against an impressive United. Still a wip, your team, but the signs are there.

BTW with all the talk of timewasting with world cup....how on earth did Taylor just give 3 minutes at the end?!

You had goals, subs and De Gea and Bruno seemingly on the phone to Eddie Howe at half time and lying down on the pitch late on after getting brushed so it really should've been 5-6 minutes and that was before the VAR check for the goal which was about 90 seconds.

Not sure you're in any position to be moaning about the refereeing considering Taylor gave Arsenal virtually everything else.
I love a moan after a win. Shaw getting his first yellow card at the 84th minute after 7/8 fouls is a funny one too.
And did i miss the added time ? It was not displayed on Sky, Arteta signaled 3 minutes but i guess they added 4 for the VAR review.

Arsenal deservingly are top of the table. Arteta has inherited the spanish dark arts from Pep as well which is a deadly combination when combined with their great football.

Great game between two very good, well drilled, teams. Arsenal deserved the win but United look really fecking good too.

Only watched 2nd half but I saw it that way, too. Don't understand the negativity and moaning of other fans, it was away to currently best team in the league and without our most important player. You'd think it was against Arsenal of 2018 or something.

Ten Hag did an amazing progress with United so far but to fight for the trophies he needs to do the most difficult part of his cultural and footballing reset there. That of the style of play. United is still the same old Mourinho-Ole inherited counterattacking team. That is why they gave up the control of the game in the last 20 minutes or so.. the third goal for Arsenal was inevitable because the truth is they wanted it more than United.

The team was mostly tired, the Wednesday game killed us

First year with United he is doing GREAT with the squad he has.

I miss the #artetaout days! They haven't been forgotten haha. Plenty of receipts, even on here. But ah well, was only going to be one winner in the end, you could see the goal coming a million miles off even if it was dubious.

It was one game too far really, Wednesday did us no favours. All in all was a good game but would have been more interesting if we were full strength and a little more rested. Still think City win the league in the end but hope I'm wrong. Arsenal seem to have everything going for them when you need it so you never know.

That was like a throwback game to better times for both clubs. Proper ding dong at times!
I too wondered about Zinchenko at the winner, think we might have got away with 1 there.

Edit: Seen it back, correct call.

Me neither. They'll be wide open and get torn apart on the counter attack.

Plus the obligatory Pep roulette. Never known a manager that doesn't ever want to play his strongest team like him.

Was wondering about this. I haven't had a chance to see it again. It looked at the time that VAR skipped it and move to the possible Nketiah offside. Good to know it was on. Zinny had such a great game today. He has been hit and miss lately...but definitely my motm today.

Maybe this will be the day he finally turns up for the first time in a long time, but it seems pretty odd that Son starts every last game despite being in the absolute depths form-wise, while Richarlison can't get a kick unless he's chucked on from the bench to try and save them.

And now another 5 min delay because the bald doofus ref is struggling with the technology :wenger:

How is Son not off there?!

Son with his studs right into the Fulham players shin, Michael Oliver looks at it for 5 seconds and decides a yellow card is fine. Presumably thought Son would start crying if he called out for being a shit for once.

He’s not off because he’s Son and he’ll cry. That was fecking nasty

How’s that not a foul?

Spurs are among the most boring teams in the PL. How do their fans stomach this playing style? It's match after match with boring, negative football. Thank God, we didn't go for Conte.

I used to think of them as the club version of Southgate's England, but that looks more like a disservice to Southgate every week.
