Is Poch not going there?
So a lot of people say. Whether a given manager is an inspired choice can only be determined after the fact. The proof of the pudding and all that.
Is Poch not going there?
Despite everything we've currently got the third best defense in the league (admittedly that may not be the case in the end with Lampard tax and our fixtures to come). I'd I'd that's more than a solid base to build on.I don't see it at all. Normally when teams break in to the top four you see signs of progress the season before. Chelsea look like they have regressed massively to where they were a few years ago.
They have no leaders or goal scorers in their team. Their best players are either always injured (Kante, James and Chillwell) or at the end of their career (Silva)
How many current Chelsea players would get in to one of the current top five teams?
There's virtually zero players I would bring to United from Chelsea, which is not something I thought id be saying two years ago!
I know it won't happen but I don't think I'll ever stop smiling if they got relegated.
Wouldn't it just be the tits.
At this point it is not at all possible this year because of the teams in the relegation fight still have games against each other. If it is a mess next year?
Saw somewhere they could finish 19th. Everything has to fall that way.At this point it is not at all possible this year because of the teams in the relegation fight still have games against each other. If it is a mess next year?

Top 5.I said I would consider that a successful season. A lot would have to go right for us. If we have a good summer, as I have outlined above, with no European football and lots of empty midweeks, I could see us potentially finishing top 4, yes.
Next year's your year.
Common misconception.another loss for lamps today? i reckon it is.
he seems like a reasonable nice guy and he's smart. Think he's just over his head with managing Chelsea. I bet if he plowed his way through the lower table more he'd come good.
Ten Hag has definitely done wonders. Like I think he's the reason why we are likely to be playing UCL football next season. I just think that the squad's ability has been overinflated by the number of teams that have been off it this season (Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs). The balance of the team looks off. I mean our midfield is currently Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno all of whom don't hold onto the ball well enough and want to play forward all the time. Most of our back 4 including the GK are still very uncomfortable on the ball under pressure. Also, upfront we have no focal point, ultimately relying on Rashford to use his speed on the break. Antony and Sancho don't have enough runners around them either, which hurts their game massively. I think we're miles away from seeing Ten Hag implement his ideas until many of these issues are fixed. With the right signings we should improve. I just think that it needs to be a lot of incomings and outgoings. I think there's 4 positions in the starting XI that need immediate signings (GK, RB, CM, ST) but on top of that I also think that there are other positions that need upgrading in the long-run (Varane at CB for example). When I look to City and Liverpool before Pep and Klopp came in, the level of squad turnover was quite astonishing but necessary for both to implement their ideas. I think United need something similar.I suppose you guys know your club better than me but, ownership change notwithstanding, I see a United team in the hands of a good coach who has guided you back to the CL and the final of both domestic cups. I would be quite surprised if you didn't continue to improve next season. Of course the ownership stuff could potentially derail the summer. I remember when we were going through this last year, hoping the uncertainty didn't bleed into the summer. But if the owners are confirmed, in good time, before the season is finished that would be a good scenario for you.
Mount has been heavily linked with Liverpool, but not gonna lie, the fanbase will riot if these owners sell him to that club. Recent news has been a bit more encouraging. Hopefully that gets sorted soon.
I would consider selling Gallagher, Pulisic, Ziyech, Auba, Azpi and RLC a pretty successful summer, even though I would probably prefer to keep RLC as he provides more than decent squad depths in multiple positions.

Would expect a number of said players to go on to be successful, possibly some even at Chelsea, but at the moment I think it's the environment rather than the talent pool that is the main issue.I would like to know why did they pay so much for so many mediocre players. How can you spend so much money and don't buy a single top player?
The two highest ranked teams in Europe that don't finish in a qualification spot will be gifted qualification?Regarding UCL qualification if I'm not mistaken doesn't the two highest ranking non qualifiers get an automatic place from 24/25 onwards?
Not that I agree with it but you would imagine based on our recent years European performances that gets us back in regardless of where we finish next season.
Mount is a good egg and is a terrific player. Under Tuchel, you essentially had two attacking mids behind Werner and Mount being one of them could drop into midfield to support the build up, so he played a very important tactical role in the team. However, I think now that you've signed Mudryk and Madueke to play out wide, Nkunku is joining and the fact you still have terrific wing backs in Chilwell and James, I can't see how Mount would fit in your best formation which is a 3-4-3 in my opinion. Is there any part of the fanbase unsure about him? After those strange reports about him downing tools and purposely playing terribly in a few games?
Does anyone think he is a bad egg? There certainly seems to be individuals that need removing from the dressing room, although I don’t really know what to believe about Mount.
I think so but I'm happy to be corrected. The two highest ranked teams in Europe that don't finish in a qualification spot will be gifted qualification?

I had a quick google and I'm getting the impression that this was an idea in an earlier draft that subsequently got removed and replaced with this:I think so but I'm happy to be corrected.
I think it was part of the UCL reform Uefa sneaked through while the football population were too busy being outraged over the ESL proposals.
The final two places will go to the associations with the best collective performance by their clubs in the previous season (total number of points obtained divided by the number of participating clubs). Those two associations will earn one place for the club best ranked in the domestic league behind the UEFA Champions League positions. For example, at the end of the current season the two associations adding one club to the Champions League, based on the collective performance of their clubs would be England and the Netherlands.
I'm not saying they won't turn out to be decent players, but even before the results this season I was surprised to see the names they were paying big money on. Not a single world class player despite spending over half a billion. Even Barca spending less than a quarter of what Chelsea spend got Lewandowsky.Would expect a number of said players to go on to be successful, possibly some even at Chelsea, but at the moment I think it's the environment rather than the talent pool that is the main issue.

Enzo is a good player but so far He's had 1 great season. You can't really say someone is world class for 1 season.Enzo is clearly a world class player.
MadnessEnzo is clearly a world class player.
Best young player at Qatar for a World Cup winning team. He was fantastic in all the games he featured, especially the final. He also was one of Benfica's best player in the UCL group stage this season and they were able to top a group containing PSG and Juventus. I think given the level of opposition and competition, it's enough to say he's world class.Enzo is a good player but so far He's had 1 great season. You can't really say someone is world class for 1 season.
Or even knowing what qualities they have?We know its not all down to not having enough quality players

FiveThirtyEight have Chelsea at a <1% chance of going down, which would likely be with a very high degree of certainty due to the small number of points left available. So I think it's safe to say Chelsea can pretty much play with no pressure till the end of the season. Wouldn't be a bad time to get Poch in to have a early gauge of the squad before the summer break.

Don't think we'll get thrashed unless someone gets sent off but it'll be a comfortable win for Arsenal, 2 or 3 zip.Arsenal will absolutely thrash them tonight.
He's coming to Arsenal anyway so that'll be fine.Mount has been heavily linked with Liverpool, but not gonna lie, the fanbase will riot if these owners sell him to that club. Recent news has been a bit more encouraging. Hopefully that gets sorted soon.

Enzo has been in Europe for 6 months and since he has been to Chelsea has been dribbled past more times than any other player in the top 5 leagues.
We don’t know what he’s suited to, it seems when the opposition have the ball he hasn’t got the physicality to hold off the opposition.
Mudryk has barely played any games in his career never mind for Chelsea, he’s been as shit in almost as many months as he’s been playing progressional football. Nunez was in the same boat when he moved from Benfica and look how quickly he fell away from Klopps plans.
Chelsea’s problem is that they haven’t bought established stars despite spending so much so they don’t have a track record of what they can bring to a side. They’re signing players based on months worth of form.

100%. Also the volume at which players arrived and the overinflated price tags aren't indicative of Chelsea having no clue of what their doing, even though many people will want us to believe this. Rather it was just so they could exploit a loophole which has now since been closed. They've essentially expedited their recruitment from a potential 2-3 year period to 6 months, plus the certainty of having the players they want now and not potentially missing out on them in the future.Boehly and his partners are trying to do what they did with the Dodgers. Buy the best young talent, even at a premium, and build the team. Will it work? Don't know. They never ran into problems selling their young talent for the Dodgers and they are convinced that model will work for Chelsea. The outliers to this are the players they bought in a rush with Tuchel.
I am not saying this is a great idea, but there is a method to their absolute madness.
He's coming to Arsenal anyway so that'll be fine.
It never ends. Eventually we'll be sending every team in the PL plus the teams who made the Championship playoff to play in the CL and Barca, Real, Bayern and a few Italian clubs might get an invite if they're lucky.Top 5.
The new CL format kicks in in 24/25, which means it will take the coefficient of next season. Unless English teams collectively implode, the PL will be 1 of the 2 leagues with highest coefficient, getting that extra slot.
