The horrrrrrror
That just doesn't happen. No one plays when a transfer has been agreed in case they get injuredThe other reason offered for the deal not being closed is that the team wants Harry in the squad for the Wolves game. Sounds unorthodox (if he's injured the whole thing might be off) but apparently JWP got a last home game between the moment the deal was a certainty and the actual transfer.
Or to line up a replacement but that sounds like a poor way to do business with other clubs.
Think it’s more the name of the player in question, then the source in fairness.Relax Guys it will get done its highly amusing how easily United's fan base gets riled up even by Garbage source like this one .
Yeah, as if he's on the bread line. This argument always grates, he's not a Championship player, he's earning a million a month approximately. It's a short career. You make the bag while you can.
Expecting a footballer to want to play football shocker. As much as I hate Maguire as the next ignorant CAF poster, I think some of the posts here are truly ridiculous. Expecting him to take a 40% paycut just because we were stupid enough to hand out this ludicrous contract is lack of professionalism beyond belief. Imagine if this happened to you or your loved ones at work?
It is perfectly within Maguire's rights to say no to lower terms and I'd fully support his decision, although I'd never want him playing for our club again.
That's fair enough but expecting ounce of critical thinking isn't too much to ask , it seems Some just want to get angry and would find reasons when they aren't even there .Think it’s more the name of the player in question, then the source in fairness.
Oh absolutely agree on that point. Last I read (hopefully something more credible), we agreed on a payout with maguire. So I’m sure this deal is still going ahead. That's fair enough but expecting ounce of critical thinking isn't too much to ask , it seems Some just want to get angry .
This isn’t a regular office job. Where the employee is earning 30-40k a year, has a mortgage and financial troubles to pay off and needs to take a 40% pay cut.As much as I hate Maguire as the next ignorant CAF poster, I think some of the posts here are truly ridiculous. Expecting him to take a 40% paycut just because we were stupid enough to hand out this ludicrous contract is lack of professionalism beyond belief. Maguire has the legal right to stay. Everything else requires negotiation and agreement.
He has to look at DDG, recent Golden Glove winner and undisputed starter for United for twelve seasons but no one serious in football is touching him even with a barge pole. If he scuppers this move he will upset a fan base that already hates him, ETH could freeze him out and besides having his contract fully paid up he won't have much of a career to speak of after this.If he spends another two years on the bench he'll lose more money in the long term. No one is going to pay someone who barely played for years a decent contract even if he's on a free. While with West ham now he get at least a 4 years deal and he gets to actually play, be a captain, and play for England. Running down his contract would a very stupid move for him even for someone with his IQ.
Ole signed him, gave him the captaincy and £190,000 per week ….why leave for less money?
I know this is 100% true and this is the case for all transfers but this is the first time I've ever seen it worded like this
Why is everyone freaking out here? He will leave but only after we have a clear idea of who we'll sign to replace him.
I'd expect him to be on the bench tomorrow and probably the deal to be announced towards the end of the week.
And it’s equally as bemusing when people can’t understand that rich people want to be even richerYeah, as if he's on the bread line. This argument always grates, he's not a Championship player, he's earning a million a month approximately.
At this point it’s reminding me of the Seinfeld episode where George won’t quit his job even though his employers are doing absolutely everything they can to drive him out.
He's an athlete, he should just come clean and say he no longer wants to play football. And it’s equally as bemusing when people can’t understand that rich people want to be even richer

Yes why won't he just move to a lesser club on less money because some fans want him to.Expecting a footballer to want to play football shocker.
It would be interesting to see the comments when he signed. I was probably one of those postersWhy are people upset now? When he was signed many fans said that they love our new transfer policy; signing players who really, really, really want to be here.
Well.....be careful what you wish, i guess.![]()
Being fairly recently retired, I find myself watching that program more often than I’d like. I get a bit annoyed with the cheeky offers they put in………even more annoyed when they’re accepted .It’s like watching Homes in the Sun
“What’s your budget?”
“200k”
After some looking they’ve found the holiday home of their dreams
“So how much do you want to pay for the home of your dreams? It’s on for 190k”
“110k on the basis that we want to replace the kitchen, bathroom, flooring, tiling and oh can they leave the furniture?”
My wife and I love that show but like you get really annoyed at the outright cheekiness of some of the bids. Why say you have x budget if you’re not prepared to spend x budget if you find the ones you really like? We’re convinced some of them are just there for a free jollyBeing fairly recently retired, I find myself watching that program more often than I’d like. Because hating on Maguire is something they find fun.Why is everyone freaking out here? He will leave but only after we have a clear idea of who we'll sign to replace him.

We are probably waiting to make sure we have a replacement first, and possibly in case there is a freak set of injuries before tomorrow nights match. If we've accepted their bid, and personal terms are agreed, what's the hold up?
Yes why won't he just move to a lesser club on less money because some fans want him to.
It's funny that players get horrific abuse for leaving or staying, depending on which way the fans' mood swings. For all the abuse fans dish out to players for lack of loyalty, they're even more guilty of this.
