We don’t hear the end of it.

I was just listening to TalkSport driving back from the game and Jamie O’Hara and Jason Cundy were incandescent with rage at the non-penalty. Headlines from other media outlets are also ******** ** *** ****- and no doubt Plopp will have his two cents ready as well. This will paradoxically lead to us getting less decisions.

Is it my United bias or is the media outcry always exponentially more when it involves us?

I haven't heard many bemoan how Sá made contact with Antony after he'd chipped him in the second half, so I'm going to go with yes.

ABU pundits everywhere. Click bait headlines for the next few weeks. Klopp will talk about it. United will be punished or denied in some way or another for the rest of the season.

It's always like this with United. We generate clicks, we're the biggest club in England and one of the biggest in world football. They hate us because they ain't us.

Oh god we are going to get a battering from refs for about 10 games now aren't we?

Rawkish would been to universally defend our manager today and say we played well but other people outside the fan base are just too obtuse to see it and, actually, Wolves tried to bully us physically etc etc.

Nah nobody is out to get you, you just get more annoyed because it's your club.

You know how it goes but you don't particularly care because you are a oppo fan on a rivals football forum....

How?

I hope, this is not going to happen again like when Klopp made his comments about penalties, and when we got the offside goal against City. These controversial decisions happens every other game, due to the lack of consistency in refereeing decisions but last 10 years United suffers these dragged out catastrophe headlines way more than other teams. We're being made an example of, and to me if that influences games at a latter stage, it hurts the integrity of the game. These type of situations shouldn't be hidden, but United shouldn't be the end of the conversation, which is the real issue. The head of these refs should be a lot more open for starters.

Actually I think there are logical reasons to believe that United are treated differently to other teams.

Had that incident at the end occurred in a mid table battle between Palace and Brentford it would have barely gotten a mention. It was probably a penalty, but even Carragher said it could have gone either way and wasn't a clear and obvious error.

The thing is though, TalkSport know that controversies involving United generate engagements. So blowing up every little incident into some major talking point is good for their numbers.

Sure, if you're comparing it to mid table teams, but they would also milk it if it was arsenal or liverpool. They want the views and the clicks and controversy around big clubs does that.

I can see the resemblance, I do. However, I think there's a fine line there you miss between mocking off the cuff madness and looking in depth at some intricate questions.

I guess it must be very fine.

We dominated football for the best part of 2 decades is it really controversial to allude to haters? Or should I assume you are slightly deluded just like the rawk posters you are comparing to?

What makes me laugh is that on a day when our rivals and haters could have legitimately gone after us for footballing reasons, they still choose to reach for the boring old conspiracy theories. They seem so blinded by their hatred of us and their seething conviction that we're somehow treated differently by officials that they've missed a chance to get in some legit digs.

All successful clubs have haters, you're not special. Go to rawk, it's the same, sometimes I browse through arsenal mania and apparently all the press is against us... all fans think the same.

I'm sure they do so what exactly are you arguing, that we all are rawk? What was your initial point?

If that had gone against us we would be fuming - and rightly so. So this particular time - we just have to sit down and accept that we were VERY lucky

Since rawk seems to be the standard for silly "everyone's against us" posts around these parts, this thread reminded me of that, so I made a post saying it.

Nobody is saying everyone is out to get us you pleb. Just that the conversation is MUCH louder when it involves Manchester United. Very similar incident in the spurs game. Not discussed.

And went on to throw your lot in as well, and all the "big teams" .............. ok

OK, you're a bigger club than spurs, I'll admit it.

Seen some posters express their disgust with the BBC coverage of the decision. Couldn't agree more. Even though it was the only game on TV tonight and practically the only thing worth talking about from that match, it's still an outrage at how much space they've dedicated to this and their ABU agenda is plain to see.

There is outrage right now, when a decision went in our favour. That's what the thread is about. Deflecting from that discussion to make it about something weird is what you are doing, not everyone else.

With all due respect, you’ve spent the best part of 2 decades being irrelevant and even prior to that your clubs greatest achievement was Martin Tyler saying you played great football.

Sit this one out big man.
