There isn't a 100% perfect government anywhere, never has been and never will be, the problem nowadays is that the whole process is polarized
Problem is one party believes federal government is fundamentally broken, and are elected to prove it.
Yeah, but the American system is particularly bad compared to other western democracies.
I can't think of any other country where all government services can close down just because the party in opposition just decides they want to make the other side look bad. In the UK, things just carry on from day to day, gradually getting worse due to our conservative politicians, but they have to be in power to achieve that.
One of the strengths of the parliamentary system is that the opposition usually doesn't have the power to do that, or they wouldn't be the opposition.

Yet Gaetz grovels and bends for an (accused) criminal facing multiple court cases. And preys on future generations by engaging with underage women (allegedly).
Always trying to justify that they should act first violently because whatever boogeyman they can conjure up is coming to get them.
It's just ceaseless. The enemy is so weak but so powerful at the same time, and if we say it enough, then whatever actions we take (violence) is morally and politically justified as self defence.
