In the unlikely event that we're ever going to have one of those nice, easy wins in the league this year, this would be the game to do it.

    Some crazy team predictions here

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Lindelof Reguilon
    Casemiro Mount
    Antony Bruno Rashford
    Hojlund

These lot haven't won a game this season and sit on one point after 8 games. Enter Manchester United.

Our midfield is barely better than Luton's right now and they almost beat Manchester City on their ground.
We’ve got to take the game to them, we should beat them comfortably with that team, otherwise we might as well pack up

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Maguire Reguilon
    Casemiro Amrabat
    Antony Bruno Garnacho
    Hojlund

For the love of god, just start a sensible 11 for once .

    ‐-----------------Onana------------------
    Dalot-----Varane----Maguire----Reguilon
    --------------------Amrabat---------------
    -------------Mctom-----Eriksen-------
    Anthony-------Hojlund-------Garnacho

    Please!!!!!

I’m undecided about the rest of my team but this is the trio in midfield I think I’d like to see. More so as the other starting 3 are so out of form at the minute.
Amrabat better deeper than Casimero currently and the other two for passing and energy. Rewards form, sends message to Bruno and bring Mason on to gain confidence.

Got to beat this lot, everybody else has been, got to try to build that winning momentum going in to the Manchester derby.

At the moment if everybody was fit, for me it would be that team but Martinez instead of Maguire and Shaw for Reguilon.

    Onana
    Dalot - Varane - Lindelof - Reguilon
    Amrabat - Eriksen
    Antony - Bruno - Garnacho
    Hojlund
No Rashford please. Casemiro needs taking out of the team for a bit too I think.

Would a 442 with Hojlund and McTominay up front be an awful shout? Worryingly, I'm not even taking the piss.

Well, I think it is an awful shout as a prediction because there is zero chance EtH does that.

Is it an awful suggestion, as a team that would improve us? I think it possibly is. McT is almost never good when we start him. He scored two very good goals on Saturday but it was kitchen sink time and I would keep him in our pocket for similar situations.

Hopefully the win against Brentford was a confidence booster and turning points not another false dawn. Some players I agree could do with being left out, but since there's an international break, it might be an opportunity for them to reset as well and come back to the kind of form we know they can hit.

Main hope is that we have a left back fit:

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Lindelof Reguilon
    Casemiro Amrabat
    Mount Bruno Rashford
    Hojlund

It's a tough one between Mount/Antony to start. I also think Rashford will be lucky to start, but he probably will. We are against the worst side in the league currently, so these players have to be able to perform.

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Maguire Reguilon
    Amrabat
    Bruno Mount
    Antony Hojlund Garnacho

As usual this looks a little short of goals but I’ll take a few 1-0s at the moment.

Right after the international break and a explosive game against might Copenhagen ? We will have to rotate where we can with fit players.

I would play Garnacho, but his trip to Peru the Wednesday should be difficult to handle (with jetlag he might come back in Manchester on Thursday night or Friday morning).

I would also keep Casemiro on the bench and rest Hojlund too. If Varane is fit I would rest him for the CL game too.

    ------------------------------------------------Onana-------------------------------------------------
    Dalot---------------------------Maguire----------Lindelof----------------------Reguilon
    -----------------------------------Amrabat----------Eriksen-------------------------------------
    Antony--------------------------------------Bruno-----------------------------------Rashford
    -------------------------------------------------Martial------------------------------------------------

Why is that crazy? Normally I wouldn’t advocate that midfield three but it’s Sheffield

Maybe not "crazy" but I just thought it was funny that you were on a high horse and you have Casemiro, our worst outfield player this season by a country mile, and Lindelof, also one of the worst, in your team. Neither of them should start.

    Onana
    Dalot
    Varane
    Evans
    Whoever is fit
    Amrabat
    Eriksen
    Fernandes
    Garnacho
    Hojlund
    Antony

True, although if we are only picking players that have played well, we will be lucky to put together a 5 a side team. I wouldn’t mind Amrabat playing instead of Casemiro - in fact that would probably work better than Casemiro with Mount and Bruno, but will Ten Hag drop him?

    ----------------------Onana--------
    Dalot----Maguire-----Evans------Lindelof

    ---------------Eriksen-----Bruno------
    ----------------------Mount----------------------
    Antony---------Hojland----------Rashford

A lot of people leaving Amrabat out of the team?
    Is he dead? Injured? Suspended?

Rashford on the right I'd rather see than our other options
Ye we need to try him on the right since we now have a ST in the middle. It will also stop his greediness of cutting in and shooting. When you look at Garnacho and him stretching the play and crossing in all the time.

Hopefully we get several players back like Varane, Amad, Mainoo, Reguilon but it's expected this game comes too soon for Martinez, Shaw, Malacia & AWB. I'd like to drop our underperforming players but I do believe ETH will want to give his preferred team a start in the hope they get a win and get some confidence so I expect to see:

    Onana
    Dalot Lindelof Maguire Reguilon
    Mount Amrabat Bruno
    Antony Hojlund Rashford

    However, I'd like to see:

    Onana
    Dalot Lindelof Maguire Reguilon
    Hannibal Mount Amrabat
    Antony Hojlund Martial

I'd like to see Garnacho, Amad, Mainoo all get some minutes too

I doubt Casemiro will start this due to jetlag after the Wednesday Brazil international.

He didn't perform well after the last break (or during apparently) so EtH will likely rest him as we have more midfield options now with Mainoo returning. Hopefully no need to play Amrabat at left back either.

Sheffield haven't win yet in the league and if they'll do something against us I'll lose my mind!

    Onana
Dallot - Maguire - Varane (or Evans) - Reguilon
    Mount - Amrabat
    Antony - Bruno - Garnacho
    Hojlund

Subs: Mainoo - Rashford - Martial - AWB - McTominay

I know everyone has decided Onana, Rashford, Bruno and Casemiro need dropping (or firing into the sun) but I just don't see any chance of ETH giving you what you want

Casemiros travel means he won't start but otherwise I imagine it'll be the same as always

    Onana
The 4 defensive bodies closest to being fit
    Amrabat Mount Bruno
    Antony Hojlund Rashford

If Amrabat has to play fullback I imagine McT will be rewarded for his heroics with a start at DM (to everyones fury)

Two week break on this game from the last one, us supporters could do with a two week break between every game as it's mentally draining watching. No easy or comfortable games for this club anymore yet you'll still have few predicting it will happen on each of these match threads.

    Onana
    Varane Maguire
    Dalot Casemiro Amrabat
    Antony Bruno Mount Rashford
    Hojlund

Seeing a lot of calls to start McTominay. I’m grateful for his contribution on Saturday, but such contribution could have come from Maguire, you could even get a 95th minute equaliser from your goalkeeper. You cannot pick a team based on that.

Only strikers deserve to be picked again solely because they scored a goal. I see many putting Scott as a #10 even. What sort of message does that send for Manchester United? What would the plan be - just to loft the ball into the air repeatedly? Or is the idea that Scott will knit play together and open up their defence or something?

What Scott has done is help establish himself as a wild card bench option when a goal is needed, which is about his ceiling here.

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Maguire Reguilon
    Amrabat McTominay
    Antony Bruno Garnacho
    Hojlund
Don't like McTominay in CM but maybe with Amrabat he could get forward and involved more. Otherwise it would be Eriksen.

No way Rashford can start this. Hooked off twice in a row and replaced by a player that performed better.

I'd try Amrabat - Eriksen with Mount instead of Bruno.

With no Bruno and Casemiro to give the ball away every few seconds, it will be interesting to see how we'd do.

Will keep Rashford on the left. Garnacho plays better as a sub anyway.
