Basically he is only safe because the club is sick of changing managers but that's not a legitimate reason

I actually think that might be a legitimate reason. In the absence of a proper DOF building a consistent group of players and style of play then we need to back a manager to the point that the team remnants of past managers is gone.

That may mean backing Ten Hag even if we drop out of the top 4. It may mean backing Ten Hag to move on a big name or two.

We keep expecting a messiah type manager but we’ve never really send the end result of any of the mangers ideas. Ole probably got closest but both LVG and Jose were cut short for various reasons.

Every team makes mistakes with squad building. We need to go through those cycles and replace players if some transfers don’t work.
