I just find it really hard to rationalise how it has got this bad. Things were generally on an upward curve last season, fans have complained about our play for the last decade but this is really hopeless. Bloody hell.

What style of play — genuinely? We were playing results over style all of the second half of last season too.

I agree we've been poor for ages but look back to February and beyond, the injuries and suspensions started then and it's basically been a constant theme since.

How often would a Varane, Casemiro and then a Martinez be out, 3 players who last season were undoubtedly massive players for us and made a significant difference.
