Manchester United vs Internazionale Milano

What exactly are we supposed to get from games like this? If we steamrolled a team as good as Inter, would that not be encouraging? However, people keep getting bollocked with this 'sack Fergie, sell Giggs, we lost in pre-season' kind of jibe. Of course there are not 3 points available, but we may as well not play the game if there is nothing to assess. There are things to look out for, i'm sure Fergie will not be happy at some of their slackness.

Alright then, next Sunday

It's still worrying. Vidic looks like he's never played football, or had to run anywhere before in his life. Brown is playing the game five seconds behind everyone else. Evra keeps getting caught woefully off the pace. O'Shea's playing the game about five seconds behind Brown. Chris Eagles is just rubbishness personified, and hopefully part of a failed experiment, rather than a plan for the new season.

Rooney's looking in the mood, at least
On the plus side, Gary, Saha, Scholes, Hargreaves, Nani, Anderson are yet to play/come back from injury, and that will give us a huge boost.

And Rooney and Ronaldo are looking very good

Christ sake...

Whinging repeatedly about how people do nothing other than whinge repeatedly

Its understandable really, we've just played 4 games against sub-conference level sides where as Inter are off the back of two top European sides, we just look off the pace. Doesn't help having O'Shea in midfield and three in defence.

No it doesnt. Charity Shield is not very important, I dont give a shit if Chelsea wins it

U loved to see chelsea win against us, dont u?
I dont, and we have to win on sunday if we are to retain our title, i dont want those feckers to take any moral boost or anything else ahead of the season.

Fergie has been very bad giving rooney a properly partner and he has had all the feckin summer, Tevez? well he is not here and nobody knows, season starts on sunday and we should go for another striker no matter if tevez comes

You make a valid point. Inter have a similar style to most big sides we will face in Europe in that they set out to keep possession. This is supposed to be a real time case study of our capabilities in Europe.

feck off, where did I say that? First learn to read properly before you write...

I said the Community Shield isnt that important, whether we win or lose, it means nothing to our season, the same goes for this game.

... as we know it.

Didn't the Arse stuff this lot on the weekend?
2-1? :wenger:

This is the first game we've played against a decent team.

We'll be fine. I cant believe how idiotic our fans are on here, this place has seriously gone downhill. It's like being in a fecking playground in China or something, absolute muppets.

So what is the point of the game then, given we knew this before kick-off? Do we have no chance of winning it?

Not saying it's the end of the world if we lose, it obviously isn't, but it's silly to say that there is nothing to assess, and the form of players a week before the season is irrelevant. That's all. We'd all like to see us look better than this going into the season surely? Hopefully we can improve in the second half.

I've been saying/thinking this for a while, not an impulsive thing, but Giggs is beginning to look like the odd one out up the top end. He seems to have no pace left to get past people, or strength to hold off an opponent. If Nani or Anderson do the business early, the pressure on him may be strong. I'll get roasted fir that i'm sure.

no they didn't.

they went a goal down and then equalised.

they won it with a brilliant van rapist strike in the 87th minute.

deep breaths Van... you'll blow a gasket before the season starts at this rate.

We have looked a bit sloppy tonight in defence, but have been quite good going forward at pace.

Come the Reading game, I'm sure we'll be back to our excellent selves.

Stuffing Doncaster tomorrow will also help the crazies calm down a bit.

Admittedly im a short-patience sort of mood, but i've thought it basically eveyr time I come into one of these threads. There have always been idiots of course but I dont recall this many jnee jerk illiterate foreign Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

Bah...

A cup without a big meaning. Even if we would win against Chelsea, it would not make our season easier and neither would we have an advantage. And we play it because we have to, as we won the league, not that hard to understand

WTF is these american football or something? 2 more and it will be a feckin touchdown... the lads seems that have been partying so much

He was taking the piss.

2-3. Own goal by Adriano there. Atleast he's proved he can score.
