Everton solid in forth, the blues in work are gonna be having a field day over this one tommorow, may just have to team up with them and give em it both barrels :D

Only Pompey, Boro and Brum have worse home records outside the bottom 3!

Fortress Anfield, indeed.

I've just noticed on the current league table that both Liverpool and West Ham have played 23 whereas every other team has played 24.

This means their much talked about game in hand is against West Ham and at "Fortress Anfield" where their record....well you know what I'm getting at......

The race for 4th is ON.

It's too bad that Spurs had such a shoddy start to the season. The Scousers will still finish 4th considering the mediocrity around them in the table, but Tottenham are probably the fourth best team in England all things considered.

This is such a brilliant thread

They'll still get fourth, they'll go on a big winning run eventually. But it isn't half fun watching them stagnate
I won't be so sure.
If they get knocked out by Inter then they would certainly put all the effort in league. But off field things are still not sorted out and that could further ruin their season.

I'm not so sure

Man City and possibly Villa or Everton could pip them to it

As long as they keep Gerrard and Torres fit, they'll get 4th.

Not so sure whether they have it in them to go on a big winning run. They have 15 games left, including:

Chelsea away
Bolton away
United away
Everton home
Arsenal away
City home
Spurs away

All games which I would expect them to drop points in.

Looking at the table, they've only won 10 games this season!

Spurs have better talent than Liverpool now that they are taking care of their defensive problems.

Huddlestone is looking like a future player for England. If Hutton comes in, with King and Woodgate at CM, and Huddlestone in the midfield cleaning up in front of them, then you'll see a much improved Tottenham next year.

I think that Tottenham are as good or better than Liverpool at every position except for Gerrard. And it doesn't seem like Rafa knows how to use Gerrard to effect in his system. Liverpool are in danger of turning into a mid-table team.

In fairness to the Scousers, they can get comfort and hope from the lyrics in their own anthem:

"When you walk through a storm
Hold your chin up high
And don't be afraid of the dark"

Bring a fecking torch and lots of batteries too!!

Basically, that table tells it's own story. Since then, Liverpool has managed to win 8 games and 33 points in 20 games.

United has in the same period won 18 games and 55 points in 21 games.

there is a very real danger you could find yourselves in the position we were in last year, all but out of it by sepember. i think you lot will win tomorrow, but you have a few tough games coming up that i dont think you will win, against Everton and Chelsea, and if us, Chelsea and Arsenal keep winning, then you could find yourselves too farbehind all 3 and make catching all 3 pretty unlikely.

Where's Fred the Bindipper gone then? Always the same with those Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime, counting their chickens too soon. They really did think they won the league against Derby.
