Barclays Premier League
Reebok Stadium
Saturday 17th January 2009
KO - 15:00 GMT

Let's win and get to the top of the table!

VDS
Neville - Vidic - Rio - O'Shea
Ronaldo - Carrick - Fletcher - Park
Tevez - Berbatov

Rio should be back, right? Rooney's a big doubt, if fit he should play.*

Honestly I'd love to see Welbeck in the team instead of Tevez, but I don't see that happening.

*According to MUTV Rooney has pulled a hamstring and could be out for about 3 weeks :(

Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: Neville
CB: Vidic
CB: Evans
LB: O'Shea

RM: Ronaldo
CM: Carrick
CM: Anderson
LM: Park

CF: Tevez
CF: Berbatov

Subs: PIG, Rafael, Scholes, Fletcher, Nani, Giggs, Welbeck

Our attack just seems to lose all kind of fluidity whenever Rooney is missing even if Wazza is having a shit game our strikers look better when he's in the team as oppose to when he isn't, so with Rooney out I'd take any kind of win by any goal scorer - 0-1

This has suddenly got a lot tougher

Missing 2, possibly 3 very important players

For some reason I reckon 0 - 3

van der Sar
Neville - Evans - Vidic - O'Shea
Ronaldo - Fletcher - Carrick - Park
Berbatov - Tevez (or Giggs if Tevez can't play)
subs: Kuszczak, Rafael, Scholes, Anderson, Nani, Giggs, Wellbeck

0-1 (Ronaldo)

Roll on the summit.

I really dislike this lot, hoping for the day that they and their dirty, ugly football gets relegated to a lower tier of English football.

Scrappy 0-1 Ronaldo (pen).

Two days...i'm not brimming with confidence that Tevez will make it, or if he odes he'll still be walking wounded so to speak. Not that he in his heart wouldn't be willing to go out and play for us but not at all what you're looking for in a contest against Bolton either.

Welbeck-Berba or perhaps Ronaldo through the middle [does that for Portugal does he not?].

well if tevez is fit i think he will be really up for it, as much it is a blow to see rooney out tevez has got a chance to prove himself.

Could be top before the vermin play and they've got a tough home game with Everton, should be an interesting week.

0-2

I can see this being very very difficult...... 1-1 or 0-1!! I hope I'm wrong, but with Rooney, Rio, Evra, Brown, and possibly Tevez and Evans out/not fully fit, this is far from a walk over!

Have a feeling we'll draw this one.

I thought we'd win Wigan but drop points here.

Away to Bolton after we've been playing mid week and they haven't.

And now we have injuries. I ain't looking forward to it.

Bolton have their own injury problems. Last match they only had three subs on the bench.

Agree. Anyway when you still have Ronaldo and Berbs on your team anything can happen. This is gonna be a fecking tough game. The tiredness will be our biggest test.

Anyone else feel that the bolton symbol looks like a sperm?

I'm putting down a tricky 1-2 away win.

Bolton have lost all but one of their last six games, and lost four of their last six at home, so...

...this is exactly the kind of game United would go and lose points in :nervous:

But if we're going to be champions, this is a game we should get a result in.
I'm confident

bolton are a poor side compared to wigan, not taking 3 point would be bad.

Subs: Kusz, Neville, Scholes, Giggs, Possebon, Nani, Welbeck/Tevez (if fit).

Will be even more scrappy and disjointed than the last game against Wigan, mainly because it's hard to find a rhythm when some of our most influential players are out injured.

Look forward to another 1-0 guys, but I'm having this weird feeling that our back 4 will be exposed in this game. Vidic & Evans have been playing too many games without rest.

Win against Wigan is marginal, although we had the lion's share of the play at times. They really came at us in the second half.

We lost last season to a Anelka goal.

They are a tough team who had given teams like Arsenal a hard time. But, then again, we are not Arsenal.

-------------------- VDS --------------------
----Neville------ Vidic --- Ferdinand ---O'Shea ----
-Ronaldo--Carrick -- Scholes ---Fletcher --- Park-
------------------- Berbatov --------------------

- Neville for more strength over Rafael.
- Hopefully, Rio is passed fit
- Park to help O'Shea
- Fletcher to provide the legs in the centre of midfield
- Ronaldo can drift into the centre with Berbatov
- Anderson to come on for Scholes midway in 2nd half to run and shut out Bolton

VDS
Neville Vidic Evans O'Shea
Ronaldo Fletcher Giggs Park
Tevez Berbatov

2-0 Ronaldo and Giggs.

Apart from last season we have an excellent record at the Reebok Stadium. I hope we can forget last season and continue the we had there before that.

----------------VDS
Neville - Ferdinand - Vidic - O´shea
Ronaldo - Fletcher - Carrick - Park
-----------Berba - Tevez

(Evans for Ferdinand if injured, Giggs for Tevez)

Hopefully Evans and Tevez will have recovered! I'd give Evans the game and then rest him against Derby and hopefully bring Rio back in for the semi final.

Deffiantly a game for Neville mind and a midfield combo of Ronaldo, Fletcher, Carrick and Park will do the business. Get Tevez and Berbatov upfront or if Tevez isn't fit bring in Giggs and make it a 4-5-1 with Ronnie and Giggs playing higher up the pitch.

I expect a difficult game and even though Bolton have already lost 12 games this season, I wouldn't be too surprised if we drop points there. Hopefully Evans will be fit and Tevez makes at least the bench...

Van der Sar
Neville - Vidic - Evans - O'Shea
Ronaldo - Carrick - Fletcher - Park
Anderson
Berbatov

subs: PIG, Rafael, Scholes, Giggs, Nani, Welbeck, Tevez

1-1 (Ronaldo).

If Jääskeläinen plays like an animal, I could see Bolton escaping with a draw, but I don't consider that very likely. We should be able to get a fairly comfortable victory here.
