Burnley v Manchester United

I heard he's Ronaldo's successor.

He didn't proved it. He was terrible. Ronaldo in his the worst game in a season was much better than Rooney tonight.

He certainly wasn't even close to his best tonight, but when you look at the others(but Evra and Giggs) he was a world beater. Even thought having a bad game as I said he created our biggest chances.

Just wasn't impressed with him tonight that's all.
He seemed to be snatching at things.

Hoped he'd carry through his performance from Sunday and, lets be honest' he didn't.

Not singleing him out, the whole team was pure shite, I honestly though only Giggs and Evra stood out.
Don't get me wrong as well, but Rooney was at least trying to create someting and to get us back in the match. The others were like pedestrians and a retard(Park, I'm sorry but he played like one, he did nothing positive tonight - only wasting space). Rooney performed bad - as the whole team, but he was much better than Park, Ando, Owen, Carrick...

Always look on the bright side of life...

(which by the way, I think we should bring back to Old Trafford, was great singing it last year at the Emirates)

Can't really argue with that, he did try at least unlike most of the rest.

Fergie says they were on top for 10 mins, fantastic goal that we didnt defend well. From them on we dominated and should have done better. Penalty would have changed things and we'd prob go on to win.
Thought Owen needs a few games under his belt. We needed to change the pattern of the game so Berba and Valencia came on for more width and we did better after it. It's a blow to lose the game and we shouldnt be losing these games. Credit to Burnley, fans were great, pitch was too, special night for them.

I am not going to be all doom and gloom at this point, because United haven't exactly had a stellar start to the past two seasons. But and it's a big one United don't have Ronaldo anymore to save us. Anoter thing was the Ronaldo effect he took two defenders so it certainly helped other players look better. United still have 4 world class players BUT only one of them is an attacker, losing Ronaldo unbalanced the attack. As for whether Valencia and Owen are United quality, yeah they are. Both are good footballers but neither is Ronaldo. Regardless time will go on, but at this point it looks like there will be a drop off from United this year, hopefully not a big one.
