That team will get slaughtered by Man Utd.
I'd rather he played Keane and Defoe up top. Crouch could cause problems if Rio isn't fit.
The team would give us plenty to attack, but we tend to play too defensively away from home.
That team will get slaughtered by Man Utd.
Why so?That team will get slaughtered by Man Utd.
You obviously missed the "nominal LM role (with licence to roam)" referenceKeane on the left.
I think we'll play 4-4-2, as we normally do: Spurs won't be looking to draw this match - they'll seek to win.Because you've got inferior players all over the park, You'll play 451 (and still get beat).
So I can point out again that they're going to get stuffed.Half an hour before the game starts? Why?
Inferior players all over the park? No way jose.
Gomes = FosterI'll predict the Spurs line-up as:
------------ Gomes --------
Corluka - King - Bassong - Ekotto
Lennon - Huddlestone - Palacios - Keane
----------- Defoe - Crouch
Your ratings are amusing, but I guess you find them comforting so I won't disturb your slumber.Gomes = Foster
Corluka < O'Shea/Brown
King < Vidic
Bassong < Evans
Ekotto < Evra
Lennon > Valencia
Huddlestone < Carrick
Palacios < Fletcher
Keane < Nani
Defoe < Rooney
Crouch < Berbatov
I don't really think we'll line up like that though, I reckon we'll play some sort of 4-3-3 with Giggs or Anderson instead of Valencia, but if I had Lennon vs. Giggs I'd have to give it to Giggs and that'd been too cruel.
I will do it another way:Your ratings are amusing, but I guess you find them comforting so I won't disturb your slumber.
His ratings are pretty much spot on.
Except Foster is clearly superior to Gomes.
No defenders on the bench. Quality.
I'd like to see Anderson get the start over Carrick in this one, although I would be fine with him at least getting something like 30 minutes or something if either the game is in or out of hand.
Like I said prior to the last match... kick the kid out there and he could be the extra charge that inspires the rest of the squad. Ya' know he's going to play like his career depends upon it. - If he doesn't get on that feckin' pitch soon, I'm concerned that he will lose all interest, whatsoever.
O'shea is injured isnt he
valencia had a game on wed .. long flight back
--------foster------------
brown-vidic-evans-evra (rio if fit)
park-carrick-fletch-nani
------berbooney---------
bench: koosh , neville , owen , giggs ,scholes/valencia, rio, anderson
Come on, now:
Haven't I already said I disagree with some of your players rating, but am content to leave you with your comforting thoughts?Come on, now:
Goalkeepers: Equal (I'm being kind here, I know)
Centre backs: United
Full backs: United
Central midfield: United
Wingers: Equal
Forwards: United
Disagree? If yes, then with what?
a) No they don't, but your possibly stronger right hand side doesn't outweigh our possible superiority on the rest of the pitchBesides, individual player ratings compared position by position - as in 'better than' or 'worse than' - don't mean much because (a) they take no account of how much better or worse in each case; (b) it's often not clear which players should be compared with which (depending on formations and playing styles etc) and also you can end up comparing apples with oranges (e.g. if Keane plays in Modric's role tomorrow, can he meaningfully be compared with Nani?); (c) they take no account of partnership combinations in which the whole can be more (or less) than the sum of the parts; and (d) they take no account of the team - how well it all fits together - in which the whole can be more (or less) than the sum of the parts.
The ratings will speak come May.Why don't we just leave the ratings to do their own talking on the pitch tomorrow?
TrueThe ratings will speak come May.
You'd better hope you don't get beat tomorrow then, else you'll have some explaining away to do.... you have inferior players all over the pitch ...
I want 2 things to happen.
Nani starting, and 2 strikers up front. None of this 3 man midfield shite.
That was PeterStorey's claim, please pay some attention. Anyway, we've lost against poorer sides than Spurs. You'd better hope you don't get beat tomorrow then, else you'll have some explaining away to do.
